I would not be surprised to find out that somewhere in the Oklahoma Historical Society archives, there is a picture of settlers in covered wagons parked in front of Sonโ€™s, eating hamburgers and fries. Onion rings had not been invented back then. You donโ€™t need carbon dating to judge the age of the building. The design, the weathered wood trim and the faded discolored paint date the building somewhere between pre-Sonic era, possibly even pre-Dairy Queen. It had to be the hang out in Wagoner, in its day. It appears to be a family owned and operated business. My wife and I have grabbed burgers here several times over the past ten years. Nothings has changed. The flame still flares up on the grill when the cook flips the burger, confirming the char flavor will be present as advertised. It is a one-man kitchen, so your order may take a few minutes if they are busy. Good charburgers and onion rings. Today my wife had a half order of 3-way. The chili is very mild, lots of cheese and fresh chopped onions decorated the big bowl of food. Skip Sonic and McDonaldโ€™s. Have a home town Sonโ€™s Charburger instead.

Got a small double cheeseburger and small onion rings. Burger was fresh and tasted great. Veggies didn't overpower the taste. Great charburger taste. Probably pre made Patty but great Flavor. Onion rings are great. Better than other places(sonic). Really nice lady at the counter and super skills. Takes orders from walk in counter, window orders x 2. Cleans tables. Brings out food. Probably more. Good attitude as well. I'll eat here again when I'm cutting through Wagner

I've been frequenting Son's since 1988 and will keep frequenting forever. Their double bacon cheeseburger is a masterpiece of a burger. The "deluxe" salad is big enough to replace fries if that's your thing. They make their own Ranch dressing. Daily specials, Monday's Indian Taco special is my favorite. Best cheese balls around.

Me & my wife were leaving Wagoner, Ok after visiting the Wagoner County Assessors office, when we saw "Son's Hamburgers." We'd had no time for lunch and were quite hungry so we pulled over to try "Son's" out. Well, let me tell you, this place turned out to be a diamond in the rough as they say! They had the best darn cheeseburgers & fries I think we've ever had. Son's is a drive thru having a nice clean dining room also. I've eaten at many hamburger joints in my life (I'm 69). The staff on duty were friendly, warm & inviting. I'd have to rate the whole experience five stars. The food was very good and the service excellent! If you're ever in Wagoner you've GOT TO stop in! I truly believe you'll agree with me - best darn cheeseburgers and fries I have ever had! Loved it and...

We were heading through town on our way to the lake. Stopped at Son's thinking we would grab a quick bite to eat. It took a while to get someone to take our order and then another twenty minutes to get our food. So thirty-five minutes later we had our takeout order and were on the road. So much for a quick bite to eat. The good news is it was good. Double cheeseburger, regular cheeseburger, onion rings, and tatertotts. Burgers were made as ordered and the tots and rings were crispy on the outside and just right on the inside. Will definitely go back, but will phone in our order...
