Lake Michigan Nutrition — Restaurant in Walker

I came into this location which I have came into many times as I knew the owner(David). I don’t frequent this location as it is not typically in my daily routine, on March 20, 2023 it was on my way home as I was in work meetings all day and hadn’t eaten. I had about 13 minutes to spare before I had to be on my way home. So I stopped in and asked for a protein coffee which I have gotten at 3 other locations that I do frequent. The drink was made as an iced coffee and I had told the girl I have never had a protein coffee at any other location made this way it’s always blended so she goes on to bled it and messes the entire drink up, it was completely chunkee on the bottom of the blender and liquid on the top. She proceeds to pour to liquid into a large cup and all the shake mix was still in the bottom. I asked does David still own this and the girl says ummm no I think it’s a woman named Alayna now. I was severely annoyed at this point as the girl just simply did not know much about the products or how to make them or even whom she worked for. So I proceeded to message the Lake Michigan Nutrition Facebook page as well as David. He advised he sold the company back in November of last year to a woman named Alayna and he would be happy to reach out to her for me. As he did. Alayna also messaged me back and said to call her later that night so I could receive my refund. We talked on the phone and she asked what happened and said if I could send her my Venmo info she could submit me a refund later that night as I left with no drink. I texted her my Venmo link. I Facebook messaged my Venmo link, and we are 5 days later and she has yet to message or text me back or give me the refund she stated she was giving. So needless to say this distributor will never come back to this location or purchase from any location owned by Alayna.

Unfortunately for her I was not just a customer but also a fellow Herbalife distributor like her so I will simply just make sure to advise any and everyone I know and all surrounding companies to not go to this location anymore.

This review is not because I didn’t receive 10$ back either it is because when a owner states they will do a specific thing to right a wrong and has no follow through the principal of the matter is what...

I've been frequenting this smoothie shop for quite awhile and was a bit taken back my my most recent visit. I haven't had an issue with the food quality or service till now but during my last visit I was demanded to provide my personal info to complete a purchase (name, phone, and email). I was in a hurry and did not want to share my info but was not given an option and was set on getting one that day so I complied. Upon entering the information I was told I didn't properly fill out the form in a subtle-snarky way but the person said they would accept it as is. As I was leaving I was more or less told I was having a bad day like it wasn't obvious that I did not want to be forced to share my info to buy a product. I debated a week about posting anything but people need to know about this experience as they consider a visit. To be honest I am not sure I will be stopping in again. They really aren't worth the $12 per 14oz shake plus suggested tip in the first place IMO but I had been supporting a local business with each visit. I will probably be reallocating for my smoothie fix to the nearby tropical smoothie...

I was called fat and told that I would benefit from a fat burning shake. I had a few other problems with this place besides being attacked for my weight even though I am nowhere near obese, I am 105 lbs and 5'1. First of all, if a place is going to be handing out health advice, it should be by proper nutritionalists, not "opinionists" trained to operate a blender. I would also like to state that I was given no explanation in what was in the shake and how it would "benefit" my health. I was also forced to buy two drinks, a tea and a shake which both had hidden fees. The quality of the shake I had was poor, due to lack of information I was given (after asking several times) I believe that the shake contained some ingredients I have an intolerance to and I became ill shortly after taking a few sips. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and true health knowledge this place...
