Place is beautiful, and I'm sure there are good stylists here. However, the one I saw messed up my hair entirely. Which shocked me. Her name is Brooke. I had seen her 2 other times and once for my wedding which she did beautifully. So I saw her again because I had built trust in her. Of which she broke. I am a natural blonde, and only ever have gotten highlights. And at that only 2 times in my life so my natural color very much was still showing. I had asked for her to basically dye over the highlights and get my natural color or as close to it as possible so I could grow it out. She instead dyed my hair brown. Dark brown. I cried for 2 days and was embarrassed to show my hair even wore a hat. (Just found out I was pregnant as well an devastated of all my baby photos to come) Took a week to reach a resolution, and 2 weeks to finally get the refund at which they almost didn't give the full amount back till I said something. I am appreciative for the refund. However I think Brooke over books herself. I had been originally schedule for the day before and as previous times she moved me to the next day. When I get there an starts my hair she is doing at least 2 other clients at the same time who also had dark brown hair. So it may have been an honest mistake but she didn't act apologetic whatsoever an was actually quite rude at the time of the incident. When I told her that was not what I wanted. I was appaled it really sucks because I loved my hair for my bridal shower and wedding and I trusted her and thought it was a great salon but, now I won't be going back. It's unfortunate. I will add they did offer me to come back, and look at my hair to see if it was fixable, but I was too afraid to have it touched again. They did try to be accommodating but were very wish washy an back and forth on even doing that. So I never went. (Color oops is my new...
Read moreSo, I thought I would be a good son and pay for some of my mom's hair coloring. She has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer and I'm not quite sure how many more of these she will have. I thought, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if she pulled out her card to pay and they said 'happy mother's day! here's a gift card from your son'." This stuff is really expensive apparently (not a woman and never had my hair dyed)! I called the salon the week before Mother's Day. The lady on the phone was super helpful. She said she'd put a note in hair dresser's file and leave the card there. My mom did change her appointment day: she got sick due to working in a hospital and having a somewhat compromised immune system.
I was texting my mom today to see if she was done and find out how much the total was to see if she figured it out yet. Something didn't seem right because she said she paid $200. I called the salon. She completely forgot and questioned why I was frustrated. I made sure to not be mean because people make mistakes. It happens. But this is what occurs or can occur at a place that has stylists rent out spaces. There's less central control. I don't get much of an apology. There's no "here's a gift card to take more off next time..."
But since I'm a good son, I made them refund the entire thing to my mom's card and paid the rest of the bill. There's no surprise for my mom. No memory for what may be one of her final mother's days, but at least she gets $190 refunded in a few days.
I still will go see Andi because, as I mentioned earlier, they all rent out their own space. Word of advice: if you want to do something like this, it might be wise to call in daily to talk to the stylist, annoying him/her incessantly until they NEVER FORGET what they're...
Read moreGreat results! As you can see below I got my hair into a lovely purple. My hairstylist was Ana, total sweetheart and very professional! I was there for 5 hours because I had to bleach my hair before adding the purple 🙃 no mind, free drinks provided (non alcoholic) . Front desk hours are until 8pm but hairstylists can stay a little after to wrap up if need be.
I will mention in hopes this doesn't happen to anyone else but I came in 2 weeks prior to get a quote and schedule me in. The front desk girl, very sweet but seemed to have given me the wrong quote. We also didn't consult the hairstylist for the quote either. I'm not very experienced in the hair salon world so maybe shame on me too. I was quoted that for the whole color, haircut, bleach, etc would be $165-180 so that is what I planned for. Ana let me know that it was actually going to be about $380 almost double the amount not including tip. She did try to work with me to see if I wanted to split my sessions into 2 or find a cheaper route but I decided to just go ahead and pay the amount. It was disappointing 😞 and I understand we all have off days but it was a $200 difference.
So strongly recommend talking to the hairstylist for a more accurate quote before scheduling!! Aside from this, the service was great! Everyone was friendly and hospitable, the salon is so clean and spacious!! I will 100% be back for a touch up and I'll keep you guys posted...
