(Visit was 3 days after opening on a weeknight)

There's the disclaimer, as when one visits a new restaurant this early, it's important to notate this fact. Generally, there are some kinks to work out in those first few weeks, and Papi's clearly has some fine-tuning to do. The positivity, friendliness and 'hands-on' from owners kept this review at 4-star instead of 3. As much as it seemed to be controlled chaos while we were there, it was done with good energy and service.

The ambiance is good; maybe a bit too modern, but interior is fresh & new and bright. Can't wait to see that fireplace on in the cooler months!

Outdoor seating is plentiful and runs the length of the old car-hop spots. If you're at the end, its a bit far off from the restaurant, but you have a nice corn-hole set to keep you busy. Try as you might, it's also hard to not notice the run-down apartments on one side of you and industrial mechanic shop on the other. Ample outdoor seating, but not ideal backdrop.

Food was good. Not great, but good. Portions on salads and entrees seemed light for a family spot. Pizza crust was a big "no" for me (I see other people mentioning this.) Some people might like a dense crust with a crunch, but that's not my favorite. I think it definitely could be mistaken for pre-fabbed & frozen if it isn't. Toppings, cheese & sauce were ample. Beer was cold. Kid-friendly.

Overall, we will continue to visit as I think some of this will be ironed out and it really is a nice family-friendly addition to the restaurant scene in...

To start, it seems that the restaurant complained on Yelp and had my review taken down claiming that It was fake. So attached is the receipt.

I visited this restaurant with high hopes, considering their small menu, which often suggests a focus on quality. Sadly, I was disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo, expecting a rich, freshly made dish. Instead, the noodles were hard and clearly cooked hours earlier, sticking together in clumps. The sauce tasted like something straight off the shelf and out of a jar, and the chicken was rubbery, with a distinct refrigerator flavor, It seemed like it was microwaved before serving. The Alfredo sauce was also cold.

To make matters worse, my dish arrived a full 20 minutes before my girlfriend's pizza. She ordered a Margherita pizza, which was equally disappointing. The toppings were sparse, the crust was overwhelmed by way too much sauce, and the cheese coagulated into a solid mess as it cooled. For the price, I could've bought a better pizza from the frozen aisle.

The atmosphere didn't help the experience either. The room was loud, with bare tables and no effort to dampen the noise, making it hard to hear my partner. Table service was non-existent—it's all self-serve, despite having six employees standing around the cash register, looking lost.

It was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Don't waste your time or money here; there are far better...

After waiting a bit to let the buzz settle, I finally dived into Papis menu. First up, the Fettuccine with Chicken—and wow, it was perfect! The chicken was tender, bursting with flavor, and paired beautifully with the creamy sauce and pasta. A classic done right.

Next, I tried the Spaghetti Marinara with Meatballs. Be warned—this dish packs a little spice! While the spaghetti was a bit overdone for my liking, the meatballs absolutely shined. They were flavorful and hearty, making up for any minor hiccups.

The Cheese Pizza? A solid option, especially if you’re a fan of crispy, well-done pies. It wasn’t exactly my go-to style, but it’s definitely a crowd-pleaser.

Service and Atmosphere: I placed my pickup order right at opening, everything was ready within 10 minutes. The interior was spotless, and I’ve never seen the outdoor seating area looking this polished. Kudos to the team for the quick turnaround and the generous stash of parmesan and crushed red pepper they sent me home with.

In conclusion, if these menu staples are any indication of what’s to come, Papis is a must-try. I’m already looking forward to sampling more of what they have to offer. Don’t wait—grab a seat, and enjoy! You...

Have been very excited for Papi’s to open! We went on opening night and got a pepperoni pizza and a bbq chicken pizza. You order at the counter, but they bring you your food. They also use real silverware! They definitely don’t skimp on the cheese. I read another poster say that the toppings were too much. Don’t listen to that, it was great! My only complaint is that the crust was a tad too crispy for my liking. It was more like a cracker. I love that the cheese and toppings go almost all the way to the end, that’s the best! But if the crust was a little doughy-er, I would’ve liked that better. Their marinara and ranch is AWESOME too!! We will definitely be back! We hear the baked rigatoni is a must try!

If there's one place you have to eat in Walla Walla, with your family, I 100% recommend Papis, customer service is amazing, the food and pizza is superior to some of the best Italian cuisine places I've been to. We ordered a variety of food options, Breadsticks, pizza, sub and a Meatball Rigatoni. The moment I tasted the breadsticks, I knew we made the right choice. The pizza crust is A1, the sauce was saucin and the chicken is cooked perfectly. Do yourself a favor and come here!
