Trackside Brick Oven Pizzeria — Restaurant in Wallingford

This place is a longtime favorite of my family. Each visit is consistent, and that may sound boring or not the best review, but if you have a good experience, don't you want it to be the same the next time and the time after that? Well, that's what my family and I have experienced here. For us, the adventure starts outside as both my children love looking at the trains next to the building. It honestly takes us 15 minutes before ( and after ) we even start the meal. Inside is just a cool place, especially upstairs. They have this giant model train set with running trains that spans the entire upstairs. My kids literally could spend hours watching it, or following it from side to side. When we finally get them to sit, there are to monitors of the train station outside so you can see them coming and going. Very cool. The food at this place is great too. I appreciate the beer selection, it's more than typical named brands, they have some micro brews too. The menu is big, but I'll be honest and tell you we almost always get this pizza, so I can't attest to everything. The pizza though, is very good. All your standard toppings, plus the sauce is tasty. I am writing this for my father. Extremely rude female answering phone on Friday, May 12, 2017. He ordered a pizza with No garlic. She said she would write it on the ticket and she repeated it back to him. He picked up the pizza, thought he could smell garlic and sure enough, the pizza was covered with garlic. He called and the female who took his order said "what do you want me to do about it?" When my father explained that he could not eat the pizza, she said there was nothing she could do about it and hung up. He called back and said he was coming back with the pizza She said she couldn't take it back, and if he couldn't eat it to just throw it out. He spent $17 on the pizza. I ordered a pizza yesterday because out of all the restaurants in the area we like theirs the best i made sure to ask what came on a chicken pesto pizza and was told just chicken and pesto well when i got home it was covered in peppers. I called the restaurant and asked for a manager and i was told he was too busy to speak to me, the girl could really care less that i wasn’t happy paying $25 for a pizza that was covered in an ingredient i don’t like specially after i asked what was in the pizza.
