Do Sit Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

This is my go to restaurant for good yellow curry chicken ($10.95). The chicken and potatoes are always "melt in your mouth" tender. Although this particular dish comes with cucumber salad, do not expect much. When getting this dish to go, the salad comes in a condiment container (you know, the kind you pump ketchup or mustard in) . I also enjoy Dosit's peanut sauce (for $4 extra surcharge). I try not to get the rice because the yellow curry dish already comes with potatoes; just be aware that there is a surcharge for rice (whereas some Thai restaurants include it). Located in the Palos Verde mall, hidden behind Rite Aid, this comfortable Thai restaurant offers a menu of Thai specialties and Chef specials. It is conveniently located for us close to home and we don't have to fight with downtown parking. The Chu-Chi Salmon is excellent, as is the fresh mint roll and the Green Curry. The service has always been solid. I am a big soup fan, and have not been overly thrilled with theirs, it good but not like OMG that is UFB. I have eaten at other Thai restaurants where all I want is the soup. That is the reason for four stars...

I have ordered from this restaurant in the past and the food was good but my most recent experience on 3/30/24 was less than desireable. Where I had previously order the Chicken Satay, which was quite good, I decided to order the Salmon, 1/2 of which was thrown in the garbage, with the 1st half consumed causing me to immediately swell up for the next 2 days indicating MSG may have been added.
