Love this place! Theyâve been making ice cream since forever! Their indoor seating is cheerful and adorable and straight out of the 30âs. I just went for the first time with a group of friends. They have a great selection of ice cream, and not your standard flavors either. For example, they offer âcountry appleâ, which is no sugar added and the sample tastes just what youâd expect - a fresh apple. They also have âsweet cornâ, which they tell you to add salt and pepper to, because it brings out the flavor. My friend ordered this and was wowed by the taste, especially with the addition of salt and pepper. Iâm kinda kicking myself for not trying this one! I will DEFINITELY make a point to come here again. I ordered 2 scoops (âlemon cookieâ and âbananaâ) in a bowl and paid $6.00, which was well worth the price for the huge scoops I got. The cones my friends ordered were just as big, same price. The kids working there were happy to hand out spoon-sized samples and they were all so friendly and fun! FYI⌠outdoor port-a-pot only, no inside restroom. Great front porch with chairs and a bench, with a view of Buckeye Lake Marina. Some other outdoor seating with picnic tables, rather small...

Today at the fair I ordered an ice cream cone for my daughter, but requested a bowl, as well, because I was walking across the fair to the infield and didnât want it to melt. The response was âthat will be extra.â âOkay, How much extra?â â$2.00â âOkay - well I guess Iâll just have it in a cup then with no cone.â The man in the back said âweâll just give it to her no charge.â âOkay - thank you.â Now - the rude and condescending remark, as the man came into view to give me the ice cream. âHave you bought gas lately? Well, these cups are made of petroleum and they cost 17 cents each. We canât be giving people both a cone and a cup.â So, itâs 17 cents, but you were going to charge me $2? I would have paid 17 cents for the cup. And I just wanted ice cream, not to be talked down to and educated in gas prices and scolded for the cost of your cups. So unprofessional. Very disappointing...
Read moreMy son came in and was looking forward to the watermelon sherbet he loves. The guy that waited on him heard him wrong and gave him pineapple instead. Another older gentleman then proceeded to chime in and say yeah that's what he said!! Uhm nooo, I was there and he clearly said watermelon NOT pineapple!! The old dude wasn't in earshot of my son to hear him. They both then gave him an attitude and grunted and said we can replace it then!! Well with an attitude and a liar , my son who has anxiety dropped his change and was so overwhelmed that he said never mind. Why make a customer feel that way to the point he dropped his change on the floor , making him feel embarrassed and defeated . All over ice cream? Like this place doesn't make enough money to throw that one away and replace...
