R&B Tea Walnut — Restaurant in Walnut

Writing this because I was told by the barista last night none of the Stormy drinks contain caffeine. Well…my inability to sleep because I have been wired literally all night says otherwise. How a barista working here this long could be so confidently wrong (or confidently lie to our faces) literally has us losing sleep. I could tell IMMEDIATELY the matcha stormy had matcha powder in it. I trusted the man, since he worked there, and it was delicious, so I finished it. I have so many regrets. The Taro Stormy was safe and didn’t seem to have caffeine last I ordered, but beware the Matcha especially & Thai Tea. Don’t believe them if they say those aren’t caffeinated.

We have ordered the Taro, Matcha, Thai Tea Stormy drinks, as well as the Vietnamese coffees over our time here. All were great (except for the Thai Tea.. which we ordered 1/2 sweet…yet was still overwhelmingly, cloyingly sweet.

Another disappointment was learning there was actually a REWARDS POINT system. They never bothered to tell any of us all this time. I had to inquire one day.

Turns out you only can get rewards if you order at the kiosk literally AT the counter. What a wasted opportunity. A sign or a heads up from the staff would have earned some family members so many points. But yeah…tasty drinks, but took off two stars for the misinformation on the caffeinated drinks & mums on the point system to even the regulars.

Having a symbol indicating non-caffeinated drinks would be helpful in the future. The website was janky and didnt even have details listed for the drinks. Recommend they...

I don't know whether or not the employees are properly trained, or they just simply ignored orders' instructions, but they are NOT supposed to mix cream cheese with the drinks, and that it should come with the lids every-single-time! I specifically instructed them to use the lids and even told them in-person to make sure they would't mess up but they still did. This is the second time already, there won't be a third time since I won't be coming back. And I don't even want to mention the employees' attitudes yet, because they're way worse. Good store, good drinks quality, it's just hard to have good...

This is my first time here during the Sonny angel event that my girlfriend wanted to participate. I ordered the honey green tea with crystal boba. A couple minutes later I was curious why our drinks were taking so long. Went to the counter to see the cashier and two drink makers talking happily and they admit they forgot to make our drinks.
