Superb is where I would start when describing not only the restaurant but the service at Osteria Posto. I held an all day event here yesterday, starting at 8am and ending at 9pm. There was not one point throughout the day where I was not exceptionally impressed with our service. The staff was so attentive during breakfast, bringing out fresh fruit, pastries and coffee at the first sight of anything being remotely low. They continued to freshen up our room and refill beverages, with the most cautious care of keeping quiet for our group. Lunch was served promptly at the time of break, delicious salads and pizza- being sure that all of our guests were satisfied, even making last minute vegetarian options available for an unexpected guest. Ending with light and fluffy tiramisu. Everyone raved about the food! Once our day was ended, we left the private dining area to enjoy the outdoor patio for cocktails while our room was (rapidly) switched over for our evening event. Once I walked into the room, I noticed that it was not quite set up in the best way to see our speaker. Our event planner, Bridget, changed the room up right away exactly how I asked and not one question or fuss about it. Again, food was put out and looked gorgeous and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The only downfall that we experienced was the rowdy group that was sharing the room on the other side of the dividing wall. Bridget, again went above and beyond to try to quiet the group, and then proceeded to check with the Westin Hotel across the street to see if they had a microphone that our speaker could use. At the end of the evening Bridget gave our group a complementary Prosecco toast as an apology for the noisy group...which was completely out of her control not to mention! I can not wait to visit this restaurant again for not only professional use but personal enjoyment as well! For an exceptional and personalized experience I would put Osteria Posto on the very top of my list. I have never endured such a great experience in all the restaurants and venues I have...

Not impressed. I called ahead & made a reservation. We arrived and the parking was very full. There was a space around the back, so no problem. We told the hostess we arrived & she said the table was almost ready. We waited only a few (5-6) min to be seated. The waitress came over & offered us appetizers/drinks. There were 3 of us. We ordered 2 margaritas & a coke & chips & salsa. The chips came out quickly. We then sat waiting for our drinks. After 30 min we asked the employee at the station behind us, because the waitress hadn’t come back. We said “we ordered drinks 30 min ago & haven’t received them & haven’t placed a food order yet”. She said I’ll check & be right back- we didn’t see her again. After another 10 min, someone came to fill our water glasses for the 3rd time and we told him that we ordered drinks 40 min ago & could he check on them.

Finally, after noticing the table next to us (seated just after us) also with no drinks yet we decided to leave & go to the restaurant next door. The manager (who had been walking back & forth by us for 40 min - not identified as an employee) offered to get us drinks in 5 min & free appetizers. They’re clearly not staffed for the volume of people and the prices. Our waitress appeared to be handling many tables, including a very large party all alone. She was clearing dishes & taking orders & entering the orders one by one into the computer. Many of the reviews here are for Osteria Posto, but the restaurant closed and is now the Painted Burro. Same owners, different menu. We were looking forward to trying it after having great meals at the Davis Sq. location. We were significantly disappointed. If you’re looking to kill time, this is the...

Just a note- the 4.3 star rating is an extremely skewed rating, the ratings and reviews from the restaurant that was there prior to the painted burro are still included in these 900 reviews. Don't be fooled

Came in to grab a quick lunch on a lunch break, and had a poor experience.

We were set up with water, and then our server didn't come back to us for 35 minutes. We ended up having to flag down multiple staff members to get somebody to take our order. Our food did not come to the table for almost an hour after we arrived at the restaurant, and because we were on a time crunch due to being on a lunch break, we had to rush eating our food and had a very unenjoyable dining experience all around.

Overall, the food was okay but I was not impressed at all for the price. You are charged for chips and salsa here too..if I'm paying $8 for a taco at least expect complimentary chips and salsa

Between the high prices, unimpressive food, and very long wait time, I don't recommend this restaurant.

I don't mind usually paying a small surcharge to help bridge of pay gap for back-of-house employees, but guests need to be informed of that ahead of time and it should be something that can be opted out of. The prices for this restaurant are already unreasonably high, and adding an additional 5% in the way the business does feels like they are getting one over on the customer. I can't fathom how a place that charges so much for their food is not able to pay their employees a living wage.

Given the area we are in, there are so many better Mexican restaurants to choose from. Amuletos, Taqueria El Amigo and Los Amigos Taqueria all have higher quality, more authentic food with...

I traveled in from DC. After a nice trip and settling at a hotel down the road I was looking for a bite to eat. I decided upon Mexican so I headed over to the Painted Burro. I was greeted warmly upon entry. I was impressed with the setting’s decor and style. They had a choice of bar seating and the dining room. I elected a booth. It had a high-end Southwest feel but not exactly Mexican. The food selections were not exactly as great as I was hoping for and they were more of a twist on traditional Mexican. I had the chorizo empanadas and chicken tacos 🌮. The chips and salsa seemed like they were from a bag and jar. Not freshly made in taste. The chorizo empanada wasn’t bad. It was tasty and had wonderful presentation. Then I seemed to wait forever for the tacos. They came on a plate which was very hot to the touch. The presentation was excellent however, they were very difficult to eat, because the tortilla was very thin and greasy. The greasy tortilla took away from the flavor of the food. The server was attendant and was able to pack everything up that I had not eaten to go. When the bill came, I was shocked to see that not just tipping the server that I was required to pay a mandatory fee to the kitchen staff which I wasn’t happy with, however, that may be something they do here in Massachusetts. Overall with the tip, the bill for these two things and a glass of water came to almost $50. Would I come again… I’m not sure I’ll leave that choice up to you.

I initially went to Burro Bar in Boston and found out this menu is similar, I assume it's a sister restaurant. I am obssessed with their flavors and the bottomless brunch. I could live off their Papas Bravas!! Although, I went after work and the hostess notified me there are happy hour deals at the bar, with half price apps and $5 tacos. I mean they know how to keep customers returning! We had a bit of miscommunication with the bartender but another member of the staff came over to clarify our order, and spoke volumes to their service. Delicious food all around, the atmostphere is splendid and great for anyone traveling looking for friendly staff and a bar to enjoy. Sitting to eat is also really lovely as they have a warm, inviting decor. This place is so close for me for work that It's also dangerous. I will be a frequent visitor either for brunch or dinner.

I visit the Waltham location on business Perry frequently usually when its bustling. I always get t request fulfilled by their entire team even the buses. I thank my timing last evening to me. I knew it would be quiet abd I had a gift card that was part of a giveaway that I actually did on my insta channel but the winner doesn't like tacos so cash it was for her and I used the gf last night. Tacos. Bah these are creations of love of food. Service. Always on point. Always. Freshest ingredients make the freshest tacos and the passion the chef and their team store in the plates the present. Bang. I tried the queso chipotke dip for the first time. Dopeness with a spoon. Again thank you Julissa for your conversation and excellent service. You are a Lordstress of #themongoosemob.
