YUMCHA — Restaurant in Waltham

My first time here with my kids, it will also be my last visit here. We walked in, and didn't see anyone behind the counter, but saw that we could order using a kiosk. As we approached the kiosk, noticed there were 2 employees sitting behind the counter on their phones. Fine, we can use the kiosk. We ordered 2 slushes, one with 2 kinds of popping bubbles, and one with 2 kinds of jelly, and 1 smoothie. Each drink cost $8.50, only 1 size available. My "smoothie" was so far from being smooth, the whole thing was basically crunching on crushed ice chunks. The strawberry slush with jelly that we ordered at 75% sugar was so sweet, it was undrinkable and needed to be tossed. The mango slushy with popping bubbles was the best out of the 3, but mixed into the popping bubbles was a lot of jelly.. did they use the same container to make the two slushes and didn't even bother rinsing it out between drinks?? I mean, if we had allergy concerns, I'm sure they might've taken precautions, but either way, isn't rinsing out between drinks at least a minimum effort?? this place is cute. the boba didn’t taste the best. i ordered a honeydew milk tea with black boba and it wasn’t the best. i honestly have never tasted honey dew that way. it was a very acquire taste. my son ordered the wintermelon fruit tea with black boba and he said it was pretty good. you can’t go wrong with wintermelon. the facility is clean and in a clear location. you do have to find street parking. there are meters right in front. they have a cute set up to sit in and relax. the person who was working on the day i went seemed very miserable. you could tell she didn’t really want to be there. free her or up her pay. do something to help her have a more pleasant experience there. i’m sure it’ll bring in more business. i walked in and she was sitting down tucked away. i didn’t even notice her until she said hi after i was in the store for about 2 mins. i’m not sure if taking pictures of the place was making her feel uncomfortable but whatever it is i hope she feels better. both of our bobas came out to $14 which wasn’t bad. i also purchased macaroons. they...

I took my team out for bubble tea. We got there and we ordered and I put 20% tip. I had question for the lady who is there as I was trying to see if it’s possible to make one of them as the last one as I was trying to take it to go for another coworker. she immediately shut me down before I finish and she had a lot of attitude. While I don’t expect her to accomdiate me on the request and I completely understand that she might not be able to do it and it’s fine but the attitude and the way she answered shocked me. I just thanked her and I said it’s ok. The teas were good, there was no complaint about that. However, the attitude got me, I wouldn’t want to spend my money there and be treated like that. I worked in customer service before and I feel for them and I appreciate their work and I know it’s hard but that...
