Marinas Pizza and subs — Restaurant in Wardensville

Tasty, Pizza-BBQ-Wings- Hand-dipped Hersheys ice cream, the only thing missing was beer! If anyone is looking for BBQ, this is the place to go. The BBQ place next door was sold and torn down to make office buildings, while the BBQ business itself moved inside of Marinas Pizza. Pizza was a little underdone, but the toppings were delicious, with the perfect amount and thinly sliced onion made all the difference. The wings were evenly sauced and savory. An order of their hand-cut fries didn't last long, and the sweet potato fries were hidden from the rest of the table and eaten on their own! The BBQ was excellent, and slaw was made in house. Finished it off with a scoop of Hersheys hand dipped ice cream, which made the experience all the sweeter. Just stopped in with 3 others, after a day trip- wait time was a bit long for it being slow, but service was decent and personable. Would recommend Maria's Pizza (and BBQ), and will stop in again next time going...

Stopped at this roadside establishment on the way from Moorefield to Winchester. The building appears to be very old but quaint inside so the wife ordered the steak and cheese sub and regular fries which she said was quite tasty, I ordered the 9" deluxe pizza and hand cut fries and the hand cut fries were very good but could have been crispier and not limp, my pizza was just okay and lacked a little on flavor and also for a deluxe it was lacking on meat toppings there was plenty of pepperoni but hardly anything else but peppers and onions. The young lady that waited on us was very pleasant and wait time on our order was not long at all so I rate this...

Marinas offers good pizza at a reasonable price. The waitress was pleasant and appropriately attentive. She did not introduce herself to the table, for which I was grateful.

The only downside to Marinas was literally the atmosphere. The temperature must have been 65 degrees Fahrenheit, requiring several of the customers to don sweaters or jackets as they ate. I looked for the thermostat, but it was covered with a large piece of cardboard and a red letter warning not to touch it.

So bottom line: good food at good prices, but wear...
