We moved into 111 Needmore rd Baker wv October 1, 2020 after moving in the house was completely infested with mice we took matters into our own hands and took care of them we never bothered our landlord (John Bowman) January 28th 2022 we reached out and told John that we had no water to our kitchen sink to any of the bathrooms and our toilets weren’t flushing the bathtub was the only water source we had. After continuously informing John of this problem he kept telling us just to wait it out he told us the pipes were frozen... after weeks of going back and fourth with john we finally told him that either he could get a plumber or we would hire one ourselves. we have a three year old son and we were living in unsanitary conditions. John finally decided to call us and let us know that we needed to just move out of his house because we were complaining too much. he cussed me out over the phone it was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. after all of that he finally decided to hire a plumber to come look at the situation come to find out John was wrong the pipes were not frozen the house needed a new water tank put in the well and a new pressure switch. so for over four weeks my family was without any water in our house because our landlord just kept telling us to wait it out only to find out that the situation could’ve been fixed right when we informed John. John knew he was in the wrong and therefore changed his mind and didn’t want us out of his house however this is a man that clearly cannot be trusted and caused emotional turmoil on my family we told him either we were taking him to court to legally break our lease or he would write up an agreement between us to get us out of our lease. obviously he went with the easier route and wrote up an agreement to get us out of that house. I write this review in hopes that we can help another family before they rent a house from John Bowman or Charlotte Bowman. after getting much information out from other folks - there are many people that told us that these realtors are completely dirty and only care about the money in their pockets. i wish i had known that before we signed a...

My wife and I rented a house from john bowman at 111 Needmore rd Baker Wv 26801 - after several conversations with john he made sure to tell us the insulation was very good on the house after moving in we realized the house was very poorly insulated. The heating system was working so hard to try and heat the house the main floor of the house always sat 10 degrees lower then what the house was set for. If the thermostat read 75 it was really 65 downstairs and 75 upstairs. Our electric bill from the months of November-March ran anywhere from $400-$454. A few of my family members are familiar with hvac so after telling them the situation of the house they seem to think John Bowman most likely didn’t install a heat pump to the house to help with the heating unit so it could keep up with heating the house. John Bowman rented a house out to my son and his wife after they sent him several messages saying there was no water in the house and informed him only the bathtub was running. He retaliated and cussed them out for complaining and that they needed to get out of his house.6 weeks later and he decides to hire a plumber. In the dead of winter he decides he wants to kick them and their 3 year old son out because he didn't want to pay someone to look at the plumbing.all he kept doing was telling them to wait and maybe the water would turn on.
