Pretty bad experience across the board. Our waitress definitely didn't seem to be in a good mood as she didn't greet us or introduce herself just a dry "what to drink" but no mind we were seated quickly. Got chips quickly though they were room temp not warm we were hungry. We ordered fairly quickly after that but then it went downhill. I've had better grocery store guacamole. Cheese dip was watery, salsa was pretty bland (which is saying something cuz I don't like too spicy) and out food came out at completely different times. My son ordered fajitas and he got the meat about 10 mins before my entree (lil g special) came out. My food was missing grilled onions but at this point I was so disappointed I didn't feel the need to ask for it. 7 mins later we got the rest of his fixings for the fajitas lettuce beans rice tomato sour cream and guac. I was definitely disappointed because at this point my hungry teen had pretty much ate all of his food. The server apologized saying there were two large parties but it doesn't excuse our food coming out sooooo extremely staggered. I just asked for the check. The owner then got a bit confrontational after asking how things were. I told him it just wasn't my fave and he kept pushing for details. I started to detail the cheese dip being watery and how our food came out at drastically different times and he kept making excuses. Mind you I never asked for a discount or free food. I even tipped 15 percent.in my opinion they're are way too many Mexican places to eat and next time I'll choose someplace else. So go at your own risk.

It's serious when I have to write a review that's under 3 stars. Anyways; Other than the male waiter, don't come here, or do your best to go down to El Js or casa bronco. And if you do, don't get the house special and probably avoid the scrumptious "cheese" dip more like come dip (ps that was on my house special, and it wasn't good, very soupy! Try not to gaggle at my expense). Don't get me wrong, they got the environment down, somewhat similar to Casa Bonita out west and they probably had something special way back when (about 5 yrs.) and it may be different at their other locatiobs, but I wouldn't be expecting much at least here. And they could hire another cashier too. Absolute unit for throwing my receipt at me. I don't know what these regulars are smoking, but I'm good with that. Just my .2¢, and you the people were warned!

I went for to La Cabana for the first time on Taco Tuesday so I got to experience one of their daiquiri drink specials. I ordered the tacos birria and everything was wonderful. Oscar was our server and he was great. We got to take our time. The atmosphere was very relaxed, not like most Mexican restaurants in town. I really enjoyed it and will go back.

Just be warned, there are other quality restaurants around. My first experience was my last here. We had sit down and waited for our waitress to take our drinks. She said it was her second day. I try to give every restuarant some slack. Well when we got our drinks she forgot to get lime for my friend and take our orders. Another 10-15minutes she comes back to get our order. After we placed our order, she asks if we want cheese dip. Still taking long periods behind in the kitchen end. Finally get our cheese and it is running but luke warm. Like someone just dumped a bunch of whole milk in the cheese and was like "now it won't clump, duh". We send it back and the manager asks, we explain and he tells us it's "always like this. This is the way we do it everyday". Another 20 minute wait for them to bring out our orders and my food was not really seasoned. Both my uncle and friend said they did not have much flavor either. Spent 78 bucks on a pitcher that was 1.25x bigger than the tall. 2 specials, 2 taco supremes, 2 chicken soups, and a side of pico. Very...

I asked the waiter if we can upgrade the Texas Margarita to Patron tequila instead of the Jose Cuervo listed on the menu. The waiter said that "We dont have Patron" I said ok I just take the Jose Cuervo then the waiter said "We dont have Jose Cuervo either" (keep in mind its CLEARLY listed on the menu) I said what is this, pointing to it in the menu and the waiter said "This is just an old menu" I went ahead and ordered the pitcher of the Texas Margarita anyways. When we received the pitcher and start drinking we both came to the conclusion that the waiter was right because there NO ALCHOHOL in the TEXAS MARGARITA! My wife and I drunk almost the whole picture and we felt like we haven't even been drinking. We paid $20 for a pitcher of Margarita Mix and Orange juice! I WILL NEVER EVER EAT AT THIS MEXICAN RESTAURANT AGAIN! The food wasn't even that great either and it was too SLOW coming to the table. Go to El Bronco or El Jalisciense instead. Would've given them ZERO stars...
