I have eaten here exactly once, over a week ago and I still can't get over how good it was, and how much I want to go back to try all the things on the menu! Hubby and I wanted margaritas, and boy did this place deliver! But that's not even the best part. Many margarita varieties is excellent, I love choices. Fresh margaritas are even better as our waitress was back in the bar freshly squeezing limes for us--that's impressive. The cost is great too, what a typical mexican restaurant would charge $12 plus for, was just $8. And it was better quality than most margaritas served anywhere else. I had the raspberry which came with a raspberry smirnoff on top. OMG. So good! My husband had just a regular frozen. We need to go back because there's a ton more I want to try! And the waitress was so sweet, explained so much of the menu to us and answered all our questions. And now let's talk about the food. WOW. I ordered a shrimp taco and a chalupa. Both were not only excellent, but I dream about eating them again! Hubby had the flautas, he said they were good, but I was too full to try! They have a TON of seafood and authentic Mexican dishes, their 7 mares looked amazing, as did all their Micheladas-- an entire menu devoted to them! And there were probably 10 different hot sauces on each table. Impressive! Many people had the Micheladas and special beers in giant cups. I don't know exactly what they were but next time, I am going to be more adventurous! They have brunch, I noticed and since our dinners were just so delicious, I'm going to try brunch next. Definitely my new fave...
Read moreI don’t typically write negative reviews, especially for restaurants, but I felt it was important to share my experience in hopes it helps both future customers and the business itself.
I visited this restaurant around 9:00 PM, well before their posted closing time of 10:00 PM. However, from the moment we walked in, we felt rushed. The staff quickly asked us to order, stating the kitchen was about to close — just minutes after 9. I tried to order a chile relleno, but was told they couldn’t make one due to the kitchen already shutting down. Understandable if it were much later, but this felt prematurely cut off.
I ended up ordering two enchiladas — one chicken and one cheese. The waitress came back multiple times in a short span to check if we were ready to order, adding to the rushed feeling. When the food arrived, I was disappointed. The cheese enchilada was extremely spicy — to the point where it actually burned my lips — which I wasn’t expecting. The rice was also very dry and hard, as if it had been sitting out for a while.
I mentioned the spiciness to our waitress, hoping for some understanding or even a substitution, but was met with a quick “Oh, sorry” before she walked off. There was no offer to refill our drinks or follow up in any way, and overall the service felt indifferent.
I really enjoy Mexican cuisine and wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, the rushed service, food quality, and lack of attentiveness left a lot...
Read moreLet me start by saying the food was good. But the service was absolutely horrific. And when I say horrific it is not an over exaggeration. The worst I have ever experienced. They brought 1 container of 4 tortillas for a meal being shared by 3 people. We waited awhile for silverware, refills and more chips. Flagging her down every time. All the while our waitress sat by the bar with men drinking and looking at her phone. We’ve had this waitress the last couple times and it’s been bad but we thought maybe she’s just having an off night. When we brought it up to the waitress at the register she was very rude and told us “we do not have to come back”. To which we replied we will not. We did ask for the manager and not surprising she acted like she didn’t know where she was and wouldn’t give us a name. They also have recently added 10% to the check no matter the party size. My guess because the service is so bad they have to force you to tip. I would not eat there or recommend this place to anyone ever. Makes us sad. My family loved eating here before. Their Birria and drinks...
