THE most horrible customer service. Im honestly so incredibly upset. I am a regular that comes 1-2x weekly, usually greeted by wonderful and sweet carhops that I always tip 10-20$ just because i love the place and the people so much. I called in my order (plain and dry chicken sandwich) and she misheard me and added cheese to it which wasn’t a biggie. But then I got there and the lady was very rude to me on the speaker when i couldn’t hear her. Got home with the sandwich and it was a chicken sandwich with bbq sauce and no cheese. I was exhausted so we debated even making the 15 minute drive all the way back, so my partner grabbed the receipt and took a photo and left without thinking they’d need the other sandwich back. (since it had already been opened and in my home with a bite taken from it) He showed up and explained what happened and asked if we could have a replacement sandwich with photos and receipt in hand. She basically accused us of lying and just trying to get another free sandwich out of them. She wasn’t listening to anything he tried to say, wouldn’t make eye contact, cut him off, and was being truly awful. I’m so disappointed, I’m sure they deal with rude and terrible people every day but we were not one of them, a little kindness goes a long way as a business and with customer service. I have so loved the other carhops in the past but this one employee will be the reason i never come back to this location again. I’m baffled we were spoken to like that and treated so poorly. I understand even if that was their policy but being KIND about it and apologetic would have been much better than being miserable and mean. Read moreI usually don’t leave these kind of reviews, but to see the on-going experiences other have and still not changes upsets me. The other day, my wife loves and was wanting Del Rancho’s Southern Chicken Salad. MacArthur location was the closet to us. We ordered and picked up. I didn’t check the bag until we got home and realized the salad didn’t have the Chicken in it. I called and they made it seem like I was overlooking it. They told me to take the salad back, which I did. When I arrived they told me “I’ll bring out the canister of chicken” in which I asked for a fresh salad due to it being out for almost 30 minutes. The lady then cut me off and stated “ok, I get it”. All the other Del Ranchos provide you with a good amount of chicken or a whole chicken. This location provided us with 4 pieces that fit into a 2oz container. Disappointing customer service overall as well as the quality of food for the price. I’m not saying I won’t try others, but wanted to let people know ahead of wasting time, money and gas. Read moreUPDATE 4: 09.05.25 - chicken strips were not crispy. I could have overlooked that but the texture if the meat was soft, not quite right. I also was supposed to have a salad with blue cheese dressing but it was not in the bag.
UPDATE 3: tonight the crew was rushing for no reason. They were not very busy but they rushed the tater tots so they were thawed but not crisp. When I got home the tots were mashed and crumbly. My sandwich was falling apart in the bag because the toothpick intended to hold the wrap closed was nowhere to be found. 😔
UPDATE 2: Absolutely phenomenal chef salad tonight with the best blue cheese dressing I have had in a long time. Mom had the chicken fried chicken sandwich and it was almost more than she could eat.
UPDATE: Disappointed that they no longer have the fried green beans but tried the onion rings today. They were phenomenal.
Hands down the best steak sandwich ever. I have wondered for years why they haven't expanded into more markets. I lived in Texas 25 years and never found a cfs that could compare. So glad I moved to Bethany so I can enjoy this location...
