Nina’s Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Warr Acres

I raided this one star because there's not an option for no stars. We were treated very rudely and unprofessional by the server and the owner Moe. we thought the restaurant closed at 2 and I had called 20 minutes before that time to place a pickup order. I was told that we would have to be in the door 9 minutes from the time of my call to pick the order up because they would lock the doors 10 minutes before 2. I called my husband to make sure he can make it there and he asked me to call back and ask them what time they lock the doors exactly. I called back and ask them and tell them okay I'll call you right back. After speaking with my husband he told me that he'd be there in time place the order. I called to place the order and the owner answered the phone I told him that I would like to place an order and he asked me would they be there in time to pick it up and I said yes he'll be there in 3 minutes. The waitress was very rude when she came to the phone. She asked me what did I want order. No type of greeting or courteous response when she came to take the order. as I'm placing the order her rudeness did not improve. I asked her if this was going to be a problem and where we going to get good quality food because obviously we were in positioning her. Her comment was that as long as we're there to pick it up everything will be fine. after I place the order and got off the phone I called back to talk to the owner about the rudeness of the waitress. we have been going in there since they opened and have never been treated that way by any of the staff or the owner. Moe was just as rude as she was. Informed me of what an inconvenience we were and that the grill had already been shut down and that he had to turn it back on to cook our order. I very nicely explain to him that all they had to do was tell me the grill was shut down and that they weren't taking any more orders. It was my understanding that they didn't shut down till 2. That was when the owner informed me that the waitress was so nasty to us because she was doing her closing clean up and had to stop to take our order. The owner did not apologize or do anything to make any type of condolences for the way we were being treated. He completely backed his waitresses rudeness. Nothing but good to say. I am very picky with my breakfast and they have been reliably good and eager to find out what they can do to adjust my breakfast to my preferences.It has become a reliable choice was my initial impression. My mistake for my previous endorsement. I am looking for somewhere else. Moe got mad at me when I sent back hash browns that were cooked like string fries and I keep telling them I just want them browned and please not crisp, and the replacement plate looked just like the one I sent just put on the grill for a little bit longer and crisper, I guess two times is the charm even if he's screwed it up , a Mcdonald's hashbrown. He emotionally gestured he was fed up to his head with me, just what do I want. So much for customer satisfaction. Other places I go tell me I am low maintenance. All he serves me is hash browns and one egg for about 8 bucks and I have always tipped his waitresses and spent ten bucks for about a 15 minute visit. Unbelievable display. He said he couldn't keep cooking breakfast for $3. Well cook it right and we have no problem but if I tell you how I want it and you deliver it different ,I think I should be able to say what happened is not consistent what's what I asked for, it must be how the cook wanted to make, it I got a thumbs up from my surrounding regulars. A recount of what I witnessed at this establishment. A table stated that people of color belong in the field, not indoors. When the employee returned with the drinks the husband told his wife to "speak slowly due to most "N" not being able to read or write!" THE OWNER overheard that comment and his response was "You are right but she’s pretty smart for a N*." The server dropped a small drop of water on the table when removing a glass and the husband said "If you belonged to us you would’ve been hung for that"

This is a travesty that this can happen in this day and age with absolutely no recourse. To have a table speak to another human being like this is absolutely unacceptable. But then, to have THE OWNER not only play along with this type of behavior and AGREE with it is one of the most disgusting acts I've ever heard of. This place needs to be reported and the word needs to spread.

I will NEVER support this establishment and I plead with any and all reading this to take a moment and think, what would do if this happened to someone you knew? Someone you loved? This is someones daughter! No human being should ever be treated...
