So we call and make reservations (for 630 pm),,,,,, we show up at 630 there is one couple in the whole place one of the three waitresses asks if we had reservations I said yes fir four people but only three of us could make it..... didn't ask what name the reservation was under just told us to sit where we wanted ,,,,,,,,two of us ordered veal parm with pasta (didn't give us any other option (potato and veg) the third person ordered chicken marsala and also didn't get any option for sides (came with a scoop of mash potato's and corn on the cob. I asked if they served pasta olio she said they only had three types of pasta so I had to explain to her what olio was ,,,,,,,, when it came to the table it was half right it had the pasta, olive oil and garlic but no olives or anchovies. They brought bread and butter to the table which amounted to (for three of us) three 1 by 1 b 2 cubes of bread. It took 30 mins plus to get our meals and when it got to the table the veal and pasta were over cooked very little cheese and red sauce on the veal, chicken marsala was cooked ok but the corn on the cob should have been just corn or some other veggie (in my opinion).
Then the topper of the night was the owners wife came storming out of the kitchen yelling at the three waitresses something about the fact that she wasn't going to be chasing them around all night.
Not sure if they were just have a bad night but I will not...
Read moreWe went there for Mother’s Day and it was a bad experience all around. It wasn’t very crowded when we arrived, which should have been a red flag because I couldn’t get a late reservation anywhere else. The food was so bad we didn’t eat it. It was tasteless watered down, dried up, over cooked slop. My husband’s clam pasta dish had water and oil for the sauce, the salads were soggy and boring, the eggplant Parmesan was dried up bread patties with no eggplant to be tasted or found, with over cooked linguine and very little sauce. I asked for more sauce and she brought some. I ordered clams casino which took about an hour to get and it was burnt olive oil crumbs on raw clams. I cannot imagine how that happened. The French onion soup had a very nice broth but the cheese was some unknown type that was like rubber. The food took forever and came out in the wrong order. At the end the waitress asked about the quality of the food because she saw that we didn’t eat it . We were politely honest and she offered one dessert on the house . We ordered chocolate mouse and it came frozen solid. I mentioned it to the waitress and she replied ... well, it’s ice cream!!! Enough said . Worst dining experience ever and it wasn’t inexpensive either! I hate to write things like this about a small family place but want to spare others the disappointment and the...
Read moreThis was our first time at the restaurant; we live nearby, it had decent reviews, and the menu looked good with affordable prices, so we decided to check it out. Unfortuantely, we left the restaurant very disappointed. I echo the experience that others also shared in their reviews. We waited almost an hour and half for our food, and the restaurant wasn't even crowded! I would normally forgive this if the food was good - but it wasn't. One salad was drenched in dressing so it was soggy (also the dressing wasn't even ordered), the steak tips were very overcooked, the fish was "meh", and the pork was way too salty. I received the wrong order, but I was too hungry from waiting so long to have the kitchen make me a whole new entree. Even though the waitress apologized, rather than offer to remove the incorrect order from the bill, we we're still charged full price for the more expensive entree I didn't order! We asked to at least reduce the price to the cost of the food should have received, and they obliged. But needless to say, we will not be going back here again and I wouldn't recommend it. There are so many other better italian restaurants...
