The dining experience that I received from this restaurant was horrible! The details of this very negative experience are below.
On the morning of Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:20am my girlfriend and I stopped in to the Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop located at 25100 Ryan Rd. Warren, MI., 48091, for breakfast.
We ordered the following: 1 sausage bagel sandwich 1 bacon bagel sandwich 2 biscuits with egg and cheese 1 Vanilla coffee 1 ice water
After placing the order and while my girlfriend and I were waiting for our food order to be called up as being ready... One of your food handlers (EVA) says to the crowd of people who were waiting to get their food order "TWO PLAIN BAGELS."
After hearing this food handler (EVA), make the announcement of TWO PLAIN BAGELS, I respectfully and unobtrusively asked her were these my girlfriend and I's SAUSAGE BAGEL, & BACON BAGEL SANDWICHES? She ignored my question until I repeated it a third time.
(Infraction #1 - Challenging, & unprofessional discourse toward a polite customer) Eventually, she says yes, after mumbling some obscenities in a low tone. EVA also says to me, "IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE THOSE HEADPHONES ON YOU WOULD'VE HEARD ME." Incidentally, I did have my iPhone earpods in my ears, from a moments before completed telephone call.
PROBLEM - How was I to know that when the food handler says, "TWO PLAIN BAGELS", that those are in fact my SAUSAGE & BAGEL, and BACON BAGEL SANDWICHES?
PROBLEM - I have never known it to be customary for a food handler to call out to the customer a partially complete food order for pick-up. Case in point: EVA called out TWO PLAIN BAGELS, that were in a bag sitting on top of the glass countertop... what about the 2 Biscuit with Egg & Cheese Sandwiches that were apart of the same order, that had not been given to my girlfriend and I yet? But either way, this challenging and unprofessional display from an employee to a customer doesn't seem warranted in my book.
After receiving our food order my girlfriend and I decided to sit inside of the restaurant to have our meal. And during this time her and I chatted about the interaction between myself and EVA a few minutes before. Because of this chat, and for the integrity of the business owner's business, I thought it would be best to notify a manager of the argumentative disposition of their food handler EVA. This is where I planned on leaving my actions regarding this incident... simply notifying the manager and going on with my day.
(Infraction #2 - NO MANAGER ON DUTY) I respectfully walked up to the cashier counter, and asked the cashier, "MAY I SPEAK TO A MANAGER, PLEASE?" The cashier replied by saying that there was no manager on duty (which I find to be VERY disturbing, because there were between 7-9 people working, and 7-9 customers standing in line INSIDE of the restaurant, and not to mention 7-9 cars waiting in the drive thru) . In response, I asked to speak to the highest, or most senior employee... or basically whomever is in charge.
(Infraction #3 - Escalating the situation, and provoking a physical confrontation) Eventually, I spoke to RITA. RITA, I was told, was the manager-designee. Finally, I began to explain to RITA what my grievance was with my dining-experience at this Tim Hortons location. Then all of a sudden, out of the clear blue, the same problematic employee EVA, walks next to RITA, and leans towards me and says, "AND, SO WHAT!?" EVA, next proceeds to stare me down momentarily. At this point, I felt that I was being assaulted. This young lady, EVA, completely loses all respect for herself, and TIM HORTONS, by making a comment like that to me.
In response to this assaultive behavior that food handler EVA was making toward me, I never once replied, or acknowledged EVA or her unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. I continued my conversation with RITA, by saying to her that, "THIS EMPLOYEE IS COMPLETELY OUT-OF-LINE AND NEEDS TO BE MORE RESPECTFUL TO CUSTOMERS."
I have sent this complaint to the corporate...

Read moreI recently had the worst experience at this Tim Horton’s location. I went there to meet one of my contractors. After 20 minutes of meeting with him, I was interrupted by the owner (Sami). He approached me and said, “You are using space and you haven’t bought anything.” I told the owner that I always buy something when I am at a coffee shop, but sometimes I don’t buy something right at the beginning of my visit. Instead of apologizing for questioning a customer, his wife then came to me and started questioning me with an attitude as well. Consequently, I bought something right away. On my way out, I approached the owner Sami and told him I didn’t appreciate the way I was being verbally attacked for not buying something right away, especially in front of my contractor. He was very rude to me and told me I don’t have common curtesy. He also told me that he didn’t believe I was going to buy something (pretty much called me a liar). I have been going to coffee shops for the past 10 years, and quite frankly, this has been one of the worst experiences. This is not the way a customer should get treated. I do not recommend this Tim Horton’s...
