Whitmore's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Warrensville Heights

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience! I did a door dash pick up order, when I got there I waited 5 minutes to be serviced. There were 3 people that worked there who clearly saw me and a couple other customers waiting and we were never acknowledged, not even a hello. The lady working the counter hobbles in. I advised her I had a door dash pick up order and gave her my name. She states she need to see my phone. I go out to the car to get my phone and showed the receipt which clearly shows it was paid. She states since my name was not on the receipt she could not release my order. Again I showed the PAID receipt off MY phone. I told her I wanted a refund. She says I have to call DoorDash. OH BUT IT GETS BETTER....I leave and call the store to speak with the manager. I began telling her of my experience and she hangs up the phone on me. I call back and she places me on hold. When she comes back to the phone I asked her what are her practices with DoorDash pickup orders. She states the customer has to show their paid receipt. I advised her I did and since my name wasn’t on receipt she denied my pickup. She says she wasn’t there so she don’t know what happened. I advised since she wasn’t hearing me I want to speak to the owner. He refused to get on the phone stating I can come back and we can call DoorDash together to confirm my order and payment. Mind you I already showed my proof in store, so of course I wasn’t going back to waste anymore of my time. I will NEVER spend my money with them again and will tell EVERYONE I know...

I was visiting the area for the weekend And we ended up checking out Whitmore's barbecue especially because I love barbecue and I'm always looking for great tasting barbecue from a venue other than a franchise or a commercial chain And Whitmore's bar-ba que is definitely and a original What I can say is when I did go the atmosphere was good the effort of the staff we're good the ribs were definitely good and the truth I love how they serve them over a pile of fries drenched in sauce the barbecue sauce definitely is good with a unique flavor but the sides I have to be truthful need work the candied yams and macaroni and cheese I will speak on because I ordered both my wife ordered the perch fish platter It was too Salty overly seasoned And the desserts need work 1st visit I got a slice of lemon cake got it home and ate it it was dry Then I got the caramel cake which was good 1st visit 2nd visit I appreciate it the worker telling me she couldn't give me that which I purchased because it was no good And she gave me my money back that was cool I really appreciate that But overall I would definitely visit again for the ribs alone and the taste of the sauce I think Whitmore's barbecue has a good thing going And I look forward at some point in the future...

The customer service person was so very rude, she mistakenly, forgot to place my order to the back for 30 min after it was place my me! and one or two worded me, when I asked how much longer Would it be? She knew why? It wasn’t placed, instead saying an error was made and there’s a little more wait! No one is immune to making a mistake!! But being smart as though, I was bothering her. Vegas Vance came into the business, he did assist in, her getting orders together, after three customers after myself, had come in and ordered and and received orders, including multiple order in one order. While I waited patiently still!! Mr Vance’s entrance into his establishment came without a hello to me and another customer patronizing his business! This is not cool! The kicker is?? I asked the service person, we’re there other 2 ltr flavors other than orange pop that’s not cold and she told me, There was a store on the corner!! Not yes or no!! Nothing was kind and warm about this visit, including the shoulder dinner that was bought that had big hard uncut chunks of pork that could not be consumed that I waited 45 minute to received…..
