I come to this McDonald’s more often than I like to admit.. normally I have a decent experience. Today it was awful. I placed an order online and got into drive through at 10:23. I waited and waited in line and the line was barely moving so by the time I got to the speaker it was 10:33. I told the employee I had a mobile order and he replied “that order got cancelled” I told him NICELY I had been waiting in drive through for 10 minutes prior and he said absolutely NOTHING. I waited patiently thinking he was talking to someone to see what they could do. I waited and waited.. and waited. I started saying hello about 10 minutes later after the cars behind me started driving around. He still said nothing. Then I called the store and informed the blonde manager with a ponytail what happened (while I was still at the speaker) Instead of saying sorry for her employee not saying anything and being rude she decided to be rude as well. She also attempted to gaslight me and say that the employee was talking to me. He wasn’t. If he had said there was nothing he could do I would have just pulled off, I would’ve been unhappy but I wouldn’t have fussed. All the employee had to do was tell me but instead him and the manager both thought having me sit in drive through and wait (even though they weren’t going to make my order) was appropriate. She didn’t apologize for the fact that I waited for 20 minutes just to hear I couldn’t get my order or anything. Her tone was absolutely terrible, everytime I come through there I’m very nice to the workers, I treat them with respect so to have someone disrespect me felt terrible. Read moreThis McDonald's sucks! They never have what you want, or need. AND they'll lie about it to get you to purchase food. Then you get to the window and oh we don't have that. Well, I asked! And ya said you did! They all have sour attitudes and cuss in front of young children.
But it's the only one around. So I get it. But do check your food before you drive off! They once tried to make us leave before even giving us our food. Another time they messed up my husband's sandwich, and said they wouldn't remake it cuz he took a bite. WHAT!? How else would he have discovered it was made wrong. And they'll ask for it back after they screw it up. Don't ask me why! And nevermind the fact that that's actually AGAINST proper food safety regs, to take food that's left BACK through the drive thru. Read moreEdit: the bottom part of this review was written 3 years ago. Boy, have things changed. Now the staff is incredibly rude. They walk around like they hate the world. If you have a large party, beware - you're not wanted there and their attitudes will make sure that you know it! They don't mind assuming, reprimanding you, and talking about you from the kitchen so loudly that you can hear it. I have honestly never experienced such bad customer service at a McDonald's anywhere, ever. All of the nice staff have left and been replaced with individuals who have no empathy, courtesy, compassion, or manners. Go to Tappahannock - you'll be treated better!
