Jersey Mike's has some of the BEST Philly cheesesteaks in South Jersey.!! This was my first time visiting this location, but as I recently moved to Williamstown this store is my home destination for Jersey Mike's.
On Sunday, November 21st, 2021 my fiancé & I were at my future Father-in-law's house giving some assistance on a major yard work project and come lunchtime the men were in need of some serious carb loading. So, my fiancé suggested Jersey Mike's Subs. My future stepmother-in-law (whom I adore) had never had it, so we had to get her to taste it (Jenza, being an Italian from Bucks County Pennsylvania, knows tasty cuisine) My fiancé and I always get the #17. Mike's Famous Philly sub (if you're not familiar with the Jersey Mike's Subs menu the Jersey Mike's Famous Philly sub is an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak with seasoned grilled sirloin steak, gooey melted American cheese, grilled onions & peppers on a classic torpedo hoagie roll) it's totally the real deal, the kind you can't get unless you go to South Philly. It's always cooked to perfection and we've never had any complaints. My Father-in-law had the #13. The Original Italian sub Mike's Way (a giant size sub instead of a regular size sub... all of their subs come in giant as well as regular; the giant is perfect for sharing). Us woman took the ride to pick it up as the pick up was 10 mins as opposed to 30mins for delivery.
Ordering from Jersey Mike's Subs is super duper simple... you can call ahead, order when you get there or they have an app as well which let's you choose amoung their options. When you arrive at the store you walk in to find a welcoming environment as the front counter staff is always friendly and polite, as well as the restaurant is always clean and tidy. There is a table in front of the counter for pick up and your order is waiting for you, just give the cashier your name and they'll happily ring you right up & have you back on your way home to enjoy your meal in mere moments (the price points not too bad for what you get, we had 3 giant subs & paid $49 rounding out to about $16.33 per giant sub, it's worth it).
Upon arriving home, the men instantly cleaned up for lunch & we all sat down to eat. I gave my future stepmother-in-law a small slice of my cheesesteak and she said "Jersey Mike's Subs had one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever tasted" and to say we all thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches would be an understatement. A big Thank you to Jersey Mike's Subs for consistently being one of our families favorite restaurants & never letting us down for a deliciously enjoyed meal.!!
Now, if you haven't had Jersey Mike's Subs yet, what are you waiting for?!!? Get down...
Read moreIm really not sure in what universe a "Sub" shop would willingly wander into the Hoagie section of South Jersey, but, here we are. All in all its okay. If you're from around here you'll probably find it above Wawa but lower than a Liscio's or Primo hoagie. The bread is not a frim foundation , opting to be more of a soft inside with a very lightly crunchy outside. This is probably good for those who dislike the traditional "captain crunch ripping the roof of your mouth up" rolls most of us just grew up with.
As far as the location and staff goes Id give them a 10/10. The staff is very polite, fast, and willing to make changes ( as I saw ) for customers on a dime without breaking their work flow. Id not recomend their 'cheese steak' but its kind of a cardinal ruel you only order those from Ma n Pa shops anyway. The two hoagies i tried, The #4 and Club were both well made and tasted good. I only wish they had more options for sides. Also plopping down right next to a well known and much loved bakery was probably not the best choice if you were trying to score points...
Read moreI love this location. I've been to a lot of Jersey Mike's locations here in New Jersey. I'll definitely say just as I tell the crew at this location before, this is my favorite location. Not only is the crew friendly, attentive, aware by this I mean they actually pay attention and know what you're saying (you ask for just a little mayo, you get just a little mayo) and very quick, but also I'm Southern and working in New Jersey it's hard for me to find a restaurant that has the staple of Southern drinks, sweet tea at a restaurant other than McDonald's. This Jersey Mike's location is the only one I've been to that has a sweet tea dispenser. I definitely recommend this location to anyone, and to any of my fellow Southerners looking for that little taste of home from sweet tea without having to go to McDonald's this restaurant has...
