A Slice of Authenticity: A NY-style Delight

As a pizza connoisseur, I was delighted with my recent culinary excursion to this establishment. The star of the show was, without a doubt, their pizza. It was hot, fresh out of the oven, and titillatingly scrumptious. For those of you yearning for an authentic NY-style pizza experience, this place nails it with an exquisite touch of accuracy, while preserving the essence of this signature New York emblem.

The flavor as well as the temperature of the pizza were absolutely spot on showcasing the chef's commitment to offering a palatable experience to the diners. Conversely, the dining area of the restaurant left something to be desired, with a relatively small seating area that provided it a cramped feeling. Though it is available as an option, I didn’t find it to be an ideal “dine-in” space.

However, the remarkable journey did not end with the tantalizing pizza. An unexpected rainstorm had us contemplating our exit plan when the server elevated our comfortable experience to exceptional. With an act of utmost consideration and empathy, our server personally delivered our pizza to our car, saving us from stepping out in the rain. To say that this gesture impressed us would be an understatement.

In essence, the experience at this restaurant was a delightful palette of scrumptious pizza and exceptional service, despite the not-so-appealing dine-in space. It was a testament to the potential of the place as it offered an enjoyable and service-focused experience in a rather unanticipated way. This is good pizza/bad business story. I discovered Tuscan Pizza on Sunday 12/11/22 from a Groupon email so I ordered 3 large pies and garlic knots to fill out the $40 take-out deal. The food was magnificent. The pizza crust had a good chew and the knots were very tasty. However, when I picked up my order I was charged $53 instead of the $40 I had carefully calculated from the menu Tuscan Pizza provided Groupon to include in their advertising. I fully expected the Groupon menu prices would be valid - especially when the deal has a limit on the value of the coupon - and I think everyone must calculate their order from that menu to fill-out their deal. But nay nay! The young lady at the register explained the prices had been raised in their revised menu. So then I fully expected the young lady to honor the Groupon menu prices as good business practice. I even brought in a printed copy of the Groupon online menu to prove my point. But nay nay! The young lady said the manager (Karen) was not there and she can't deviate from their new menu prices. Strike three! The young lady should have been trained to use her common sense in that situation. So I have awarded four stars for the kitchen who produced a real treat for my family. The empty star is for the manager who didn't update the Groupon menu and who failed to teach her staff that one unhappy customer can do so much harm to word-of- mouth. This...

I just got off the phone with Tuscan Pizza. I was looking to place a delivery order. As my neighbor patronizes Tuscan pizza. Last week I happened to be there when Tuscan delivered her food order. The pizza looked good so I figured I'll order from here next time to try it. I googled Tuscan pizza to get their number and saw they were 1.6 miles away from me. I called to place my order the girl who answered at Tuscan said they do not deliver outside 4.5 miles from the restaurant. I explained to her that my neighbor orders from there all the time, were close, etc. The woman begins to tell me it's probably because it was the new girl who takes her order but, she's been there two years and knows they do not deliver to my neighborhood. Needless to say I will Never do business with this Restaurant. Her lack of professionalism, unwillingness or interest to check and or ensure my address is indeed in their coverage zone along with her excuses to justify it were absurd! I will continue to support restaurants like Rustico pizza who have brick oven and etc but, primarily are customer oriented and focued on customer service! I am very dissapointed with this business!
