I enjoy Chinese food and often order from Jin House in Williamstown. Today they were closed so I decided to try Win Golden Wok. I’m no expert but love Chinese food and enjoy visiting different restaurants in different areas. Today I ordered Singapore Mei fun (a rice noodle dish with egg, shrimp, pork, chicken, and vegetables, with curry) this is my favorite dish and order it often. I also ordered wonton soup. The people were nice and the order was accurate and fast. But, I have to say I was more than slightly disappointed. The Singapore Mei fun was very watery which left the flavor lacking (even though I ordered extra curry). All the ingredients were there just little flavor, wet, and soggy.😞. The wonton soup also left little in redemption for Win Golden Wok. The broth was bland / flavorless .as was the meat in the wontons. I’m sorry Win Golden Wok. I can not recommend you to anyone. If you are thinking of eating here I would recommend you go elsewhere. If you have no choice, well let’s just say I have had worse but they are on the low...
Read moreThee worst Chinese take out I've had. I ordered General Tso chicken, Egg Foo young, and chicken fried rice. What a waste of money. Complete trash! I would NOT recommend nor would I ever order from them again. The rice was old and reheated. It was full of oil and hard as well as mushy. They literally cooked stringy chicken; no seasoning, nor was it browned. Then added old rice to it. I still can't believe they sold us that mess. The General Tso chicken sauce was very oily and watery. Very bland, no spice. Then the actual General Tso chicken was the same stringy chicken they put in the rice covered in dough and fried. It was more dough then chicken and it was absolutely disgusting. The Egg Foo young was burnt and oily as everything else. The gravy that went with it was oily as well. Worst experience. Wild Ginger is ten times better. Wanted to try something new and never again. Just awful. Complete...
Read moreI'm not from around here so maybe I was expecting something different. To be fair, it wasn't bad food, but I've read a lot of comments where people are calling it the best. It certainly isn't the best. I got the pepper chicken with pork fried rice. There were more onions than peppers and the rice was bland, even with soy sauce. It was a large portion of food for it being a combination platter. The pizza roll was what I'm used to. The service was okay, the woman was pleasant, I found it odd that she asked if I wanted a fork. I never been asked that for Chinese takeout before lol. I would try a different menu item the next time I'm in the mood for Chinese. Not terrible,...
