Horrible service, couldn’t care less for their younger patrons. I (19) went in with my boyfriend (22) and our server seemed kind of cold from the beginning, but the food was really good so we were enjoying ourselves. She brought the check, we weren’t getting anything else, but we were still eating. She didn’t come back to our table once after this. She was at the table next to us and asked over if we needed anything, I said no as I was still eating, and she never came back or even glanced over at our table. It was like just because she had dropped the check off we didn’t exist all of a sudden. We sat and waited for 20+ for her to come back to the table because I needed a box for my food. After watching her come in and out of the dining room to wait on the rest of the elderly aged patrons (we were the only younger customers there) we were irritated. She had taken plates from multiple tables, served a table their food, made small talk with patrons and conversed with who I’m assuming we’re regulars from the way they talked all within the same dining room as us (this is a smaller restaurant) and not once paid attention to our table. Eventually I was fed up and got my own box from the servers cart across the dining room and we paid and left. I was extremely dissatisfied with their lack of service for their younger customers and annoyed I had wasted half and hour of my life waiting for a server who had no intention of waiting on our table again. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as much as I enjoy their food, this experience ruined their...
Read moreI usually look for little joints like this when I'm on the road, mom and pop places for coffee and pie. It's almost your typical spot packed with locals and a regular old-fashioned greasy spoon menu. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I just ended up with a double cheeseburger and fries on a special menu. Nothing to write home about but just your regular Ohio picnic style burgers small grilled still a little charcoal e on the outside and a bun that is a little shriveled but okay. The fries were hand cut potatoes but a little on the Soggy side which tells me either they were there for a while and they dropped them back in the oil with you do not do or that's just the way they turn out because they haven't been coated with preservatives like fast food joints. The coffee was good play no black coffee but I was disappointed no pie to speak of. She said they have like one lemon meringue pie that may have been there a bit too long in my opinion and some kind of apple tart thing that didn't appeal to me. All in all an okay spot out of the way unless you're going to Mid Ohio Race Course otherwise I would go up to the next exit or so where there's a Mennonite Amish style Der Dutchman restaurant or something. That place is great with a heck...
Read moreWe visited this place on a whim after traveling to the nearby Mary Ann's meats. The atmosphere is not really anything to be desired. I think a deep clean is in order soon. The ceiling fans being the main focus. It is very close seating to other parties. The service was prompt and really nice. The food we thought was a great price as well as great tasting! I had the classic with fries (the fries could be cooked longer they were soggy not crispy) my daughter had what the menu calls "BIG wings" but they are just normal wings she enjoyed them. My son had the smiley pancake it was yummy. My hubby had an Alaskan fish sandwhich and he also enjoyed it. The size was very nice for a fish sandwich. Overall this place is good and was busy! I imagine the price is what draws people in. It did me and I was pleased. We will return again...
