Let me start with the fact that I donāt write many reviews. But when I do itās because something went exceptionally well or terribly wrong., and I feel situations like these should be known by the public. We ordered takeout from this TJIF location because itās just a mile away from where we live. This should have never happened since we had several times already bad experiences with this Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP) owned chain. The first time, a few years ago in La Jolla, CA, it was really terrible. But these 3 recent times it was bad locally, here in Washington Township. I have nothing to complain about the service, since we have ordered takeout. But both the food and the value have been TERRIBLE. We came a little too early, so we picked up the food as soon as itās been ready. As I have mentioned, it took me under 5 minutes to get home, we immediately unpacked, yet EVERYTHING was already cold. It appeared like most if not all of the meals have been pre-cooked and mildly reheated at best. Nothing tasted fresh, from the softened fries to the shriveled salads. I used ātasteā quite liberally, because ALL the food was bland, totally tasteless. Weāve ordered the Classic FRIDAYS Combo. All 3 items were incredibly savor less, but the worst have been the potstickers. Cold, rigid, dry, and absolutely tasteless. I realize that the āTraditional Wingsāā is only an appetizer, but at $11.35 one would not expect a ridiculously minuscule, cold portion. The Chicken Al Pastor Bowl in pictures has a few tortilla chips on top but in reality there are tons of chips and a few tiny pieces of TASTELESS, cold chicken breast. The FRIDAYS āSignature Whiskey-Glazeā burgerās patty was cold, dry, thin, and bland. The Candied Pecan Chicken Bowl was again a ridiculously small portion with salad that tasted old. The separate order of seasoned fries came also cold, the fries were soft, and appeared reheated. I donāt have unreasonable expectations from a TJIF restaurant, but at a $74.24 bill (no drinks whatsoever and taxes not included!) I would like to be able to get a decent dinner for 4. I seriously donāt want to hear the old and tired pandemic excuses, nor the inflation stories, and neither the ālack of qualified personnelā story, because I KNOW THE TRUTH: at corporate level all these are perfect excuses to lower the quality of ingredients, minimize the portions, and maximize profits. While the above excuses at one time might have been somewhat justified, now are only a blessing to capitalize upon. Altogether, our bad experience has probably less to do with this specific Washington Township TGI Fridays location as much as it does with the Thompson Street Capital Partners corporate policy. I repeat, I have nothing against capitalism or profitability, but I am totally against practices employed fraudulently to profit after extreme situations. So, people, stay away from TJI Fridays or expect to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son and I went to have a Christmas dinner there approximately 5:30 p.m. today. The parking lot was not crowded. We entered TGI Fridays and saw that there were many vacant tables in both the dining room and the bar area and expected to get seated immediately. However, a very young hostess told us that we would have a 15-minute wait and took my phone number. as we were walking out to the car my son noticed the bar was nearly empty and one of our favorite football games was playing on the TV. We asked if we could sit at a vacant high top table and wait there for our dining room appointment and watch the football game. The very young hostess had an attitude and told us that we would have to leave and she'll call us when they were ready to seat us. My son, and I have a football fan stood by the doorway so he could watch an important play on TV of the New Orleans football game. The hostess went and called the manager who was also very young. The manager told us to leave in a very condescending manner. I have a position of responsibility in the public health field and know that there would have been no covid-19 violations had they allowed us to watch the football game from the distance. We feel that we were treated inappropriately as we were wearing our mask and were placing no one at risk. The least the manager could have done was been a little more professional in her approach instead of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeveral NEVER checked on us after she took out food order until she brought out food out :-( My wife and I both had EMPTY Tall Draft BEER Glasses, my one son had an empty soda glass, my other son only had about 1 inch of his drink left & my grand son was almost done his drink as well. I asked her " Did you fall asleep in the kitchen ?" and she replied "Yes, I almost did". I told her I was NOT HAPPY about the fact 3 out of 5 of us had no Drinks and that she had not checked on us for so long. She said "Sorry, would you like me to get you more Drinks ?" I told her " No, I'd like to see a Manager !" She walked away and a Manager came over to talk with me. She was Very understanding and agreed that that was not right for us to have been able to run out of Drink's and that we should have been checked on. I was so mad that I was not able to eat or even drink anything Else. The manager compt my meal as well as Dessert for us all because of the waitress doing Poor. The manager did state that they we not busy and ever if they had a 1/2 full restaurant it would not be appropriate for customers to NOT be checked on frequently by the Server. The Manager seemed very concerned and upset that I/we where not served in a better way. The waitress on the other hand I would walk out on if I had her again. Very uncaring about us. We where her...
