UPDATE: after driving over 30 minutes to get here, they were not open- even though google AND their sign on the door stated they’d be open. Fortunately, this time I was only 30 minutes out of my way; however, I live over an hour away and I can’t imagine how livid I would be if I had driven that distance just to find something like this. Love the food but I’ll never take a drive out of my way ever again, especially living so far away, since they clearly can’t honor their hours. Lost a loving customer today.

PREVIOUS: I recently visited for the first time in 10 years. This used to be my favorite hidden gem spot, but then I moved out of state and wasn’t able to enjoy it anymore. After moving back to the state recently, I stopped in with my husband and after 10 years away you never know what changes to expect. Staff members were very courteous and accommodating for seating a disabled person, food was delicious and cooked properly and food presentation was just as beautiful as ever! My old favorite, the peanut tofu was still great, my husband loved his dish as well, and the crab Rangoons were delicious and beautifully plated. Great job guys, we’ll...

Coconut shrimp as a starter special was good. The spicy beef with rice was good but waiter was not very attentive as we wanted both dishes spicy but my wife ended up eating very very sweet sesame chicken and she left most of it because it was just too much brown sugar sauce . We asked for spicy beef with rice and vegetables and the beef was not of very good quality obviously reflected in the cheap price for food. The young lady waitress was very good and served us very well but the other lady who works in the kitchen needs to improve her ways a bit . She needs to walk in with a smile instead of looking miserable . She seemed very tired and miserable . They need to keep her away from the guests . Less sweet in the food please as Thai food is not supposed to be so full of sweet sauce . I think they are right not to accept a credit for $8.52 which was a bill posted by a South Indian here ( tight gits and they don’t tip either) . Credit cards cost a lot of money to process so owners are correct not accept cards for under $15 . They should put this up to $20 to get rid of these tight pocketed...

On our way to Atlantic City, we stopped by Thai Chili 88 in Turnersville, NJ, for dinner. We ordered vegetable spring rolls, Panang curry with lots of veggies (no eggs), drunken noodles with tofu and lots of veggies (no eggs), and Thai iced tea.

The vegetable spring rolls were crispy and paired well with the sweet chili sauce. The Panang curry was rich and flavorful, filled with a variety of fresh vegetables. The drunken noodles had the perfect balance of spice and texture, and the tofu was cooked just right. The Thai iced tea was refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly.

The restaurant’s ambiance was cozy, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring our dietary preferences were met. It’s evident that Thai Chili 88 takes pride in delivering authentic Thai flavors.

For those seeking genuine Thai cuisine in the area, Thai Chili 88 is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip...

I don't usually give one stars to restaurants, because theres always something good..but this place is as bad as it gets for a Thai place. For example, their spring roll looks like it was wrapped by a child with a single shrimp sliced in half, with the exoskeleton still on the tail of one of the rolls. Compared to other Thai places, I usually get 2-3 whole shrimp per shrimp roll and sometimes with pork as well. The prices are also higher than many much better Thai places. I would avoid this restaurant if you want good Thai food.

I stopped by to try the thai iced tea since this is the closest Thai restaurant to my home. Unfortunately, the drink was disappointing, it tasted very watered down and lacked the rich, creamy flavor I’m used to from near by places like Thai Terrace in Sewell or Pinto Thong in Deptford. I was hoping for better so that I didn’t have to drive to another town for one but looks like I’ll continue to do so.
