Was planning a vivisection to this establishment on.a Saturday afternoon to pass some time between events. I got lucky and found a parking spot right in front. Before going in needed ti send a few text messages before going inside. Next thing I know one of the workers is knocking on my passenger window. I had seen him out sweeping so I rolled down my window. He shoves his phone in my window and wanted me to read something but the phone turned black before I could read it. Then he waves his hand like I need to move my car. I check the street parking signs and confirm I'm in a legal parking spot, no restrictions during the time I plan to park. The worker is now talking to another coworker so I get out to ask if there was a problem. He says something but when I ask him to repeat it he acts like he cannot hear me. I turn to get back in my car and someone pulls up in a fancy black car, parks blocking the alley and gets out the car. They ask if I'm leaving and I say no and tell him that I was trying to understand why the employees were trying to tell I could not park where I had. He says there must have been some mistake and goes inside with the workers.
Needless to say I did NOT take my business in there and instead walked up the block and got a wonderful monitor at the Cuban restaurant.
How dare the employee try intimidate a paying customer into moving their car so someone they deem to be more important can park there. Too bad they lost a payinh customer. Will never frequent...
Read moreBulldog Tavern is a s#$t hole. Do not waste your time or money here. If I could do 0 stars I would. I went there 3 times. First off, all three times service was abysmal. They take 20-30 min to even get to your order. The food is not worth waiting for. The worst part, on top of that is they "act" like a high class, 5 star establishment. They have idiot students working there who can't take an order or act professionally. You cannot bring food inside from anywhere else on the campus itself. This pertains specifically to a food allergy circumstance where they cannot accommodate for a life threatening food allergy. The manager claimed BS about "you would not be able to do this at any other establishment" as if they are some high class restaurant. Instead, as paying customers (we ordered multiple drinks and food) they could have accommodated the fact our sole guest member could not eat here. The manager took no consideration in the fact I was a Georgetown employee and just kept reciting ridiculous rhetoric that "you can't do this, no one else would let you do this". I have been to hole in the wall places that would either let you bring in outside food, or would be able to accommodate you. Typical pretentious BS from a place that couldn't accommodate a 10 year olds food needs. Do not...
Read moreWe came to Georgetown to visit our son and decided to eat something at the restaurant. As soon as the server Kevin came we ordered 2 drinks and 2 burgers. After several minutes we noticed that he was on the entrance checking his cellphone and didn’t order our drinks. We had to call another waitress, she called him and after that, he rushed to the bar to get our drinks. When I asked for our check, he told me that the machine was broken and that I had cash to pay. I didn’t have much cash at the moment and I decided to pay with credit card, he definitely wasn’t happy about it and told me “you have to tip me in cash”.
We left the restaurant feeling very uncomfortable for such as bad experience with the timing for our orders and the weird request from your server. This is a shame for this restaurant inside of such a great institution like Georgetown University.
I also tried contacting the Manager by email, he didn’t even receive a reply...
