Capital Szechuan — Restaurant in Washington

I love their 🍕 pizza, but they (the woman) have never been particularly friendly or polite, but after I wrote my review it was as if they had read it and knew who I was since I always use my debit card. The next time I came in she was polite and friendly.

WOW!

Another credit to them is they make a really good pizza and I have never had a bad one until last week. It was beautiful on the top but completely burned, crispy and black on the bottom. It was too late to go back and I was completely ambivalent about what to do so I took a couple of pictures. I came in a few days later, showed them the pictures, found out the oven was up too high. I completely understood that. I never had to ask for anything which is a comforting feeling.

At my request, I came back a few days later and picked up my replacement pizza. They were both kind and humble on both days which made me feel completely at ease.

I could not have asked for more.

The next pizza was perfect. It was beautiful on the top and bottom.

This place has a variety of things to sell to customers. Want a cheeseburger or some moo goo gai pan? How about a pack of cigarettes? Capital Szechuan tries to accommodate all of the needs of their local customers. The food is great. I order from there regularly. I have had pretty much everything on the menu with the exception of the duck.(I don't do duck) This place is exceptionally cold in the winter as it has no heat. The staff all have jackets on behind the glass trying to stay warm. Ironically, they're one of the few places to have on site parking but only provide carryout. Come for the food but not the service. The cashier behind the bulletproof glass makes for a very impersonal and uneasy experience, but is understandable seeing as the area isn't one of the greatest in DC. yesterday I went to go get my food. I ordered a simple chicken sandwich with fries and marble sauce. I go to get my food and they give me some nasty fish that’s mixed with something in it as a sandwich knowing that that’s not what I ordered and I’m taking my money like if this is where you want to go and get your carry out and first of all their mumble sauce is one of the horrible, horrible mumble sauce that that they have it’s taste so sour that is not even mumble sauce But if people like to go eat...
