TLDR: The play place has been closed since Covid.
My daughter had seen this particular Carl’s Junior driving by. What caught her attention was the play place, large and prominent on the corner of the building. She gets her younger brother’s attention and points at the Carl’s Junior on the corner. “Daddy, can we go there?” she asked excitedly. “Yeah sure, why not." She was 10, her brother 8, and she was still excited about going to playgrounds and play places, bouncy castles, trampoline parks, etc. I try to support her youthful exuberance, as soon she will be an angsty teen that’s too cool to play, and be a child. We go in and order some food. It’s taking a while because I ordered lemonade, but he thought I meant fountain lemonade and not the “handmade” lemonade, and I said why would I specifically ask for lemonade if I wanted a fountain cup I could fill with anything, and he said it cost more, and I said fine whatever, then he rang us up for three lemonades for like 10 dollars, and I said hey I don’t want three more lemonades I want the upgrade on the combos, and he said oh yeah and messed with the register and did some math, and it then came out to only 87 more cents. Anyhow, the checkout was taking forever so I told the kids to just go play while I took care of it. They came back almost immediately and said that the play place was closed. “What?” I said, “Let me go take a look.” We walked over and observed the glass door leading to a very large play area. On it was a sign that said:
PLAY AREA IS CLOSED SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE
I went back to the cashier that was still getting us our lemonades. “Hey man, what’s up with the play area?” He looked over at it. “Oh… That’s been closed since Covid.” I look at him flatly, “Since Covid. Well…. it should be good to go by now.” He looks at me nervously, “Well I just started here back in whenever he said, but I was told that it’s been closed since Covid.” I’m looking at him quizzically. “Well do you have a key for it?” He looks left and right, “Well I think one of the managers might have a key…” I shake my head, “You know what, don’t worry about it.” I go back to sit down, and my daughter is sitting there telling me how sad she is that the play place is closed. I’m nodding, I know baby, Covid was an excuse of a lot of companies to start offering really bad service and blaming it on Covid. After Covid was largely over the terrible service remained. While we were waiting for our food a friend I knew came in. I go and greet him. I tell him about the play place being closed since Covid, and how ridiculous that is. I think he’s trying to play the devil’s advocate but he says, “Well a lot of these places are remodeling and turning these places into more seating, it’s not like this is making them any money.” As he gestures towards the play area. I look at him. “Yeah, the cashier told me about the remodel, but…” I rummage around on the table and pick up the receipt, “they made $28 off of me, also whatever your food cost. Do you think I’d be in this Carl’s Junior if it wasn’t for that play place?”
The answer is no. To be fair, if you like Carl’s Junior’s you should go to a different one. This one has locks on the bathroom doors, to get in and out. The cashier was explaining to my son that there was a button you needed to wave your hand in front of to get out of the bathroom, which freaked him out. “Dad what if I get trapped inside?” I looked at him, “Then I’ll kick the door down, go use the bathroom.” In the restaurant’s defense, there were a couple of what I assumed to be un-housed people that came in with a toddler while we were talking about the bathroom locks, and they left again when they heard it. I think they were just there to use the bathroom.

Read moreThe food is good. This location is Always short staffed. After ordering and paying. They had me park in the parking lot. Approx 10 to 15 min later, they brought food out to our car. After checking the order. The order was missing 2 items. Decided to walk in because at this time there were 4 vehicles in line. Walked up to the counter and be was waiting since The lady was talking to a customer, She proceeded to tell me I had to wait in line. So waited about to 5 to 6 mins to get helped again. Where with her persnickety voice looked at the receipt and perceeded say she put the order together and she knew all items were there. I Offered her to come out and look in my car if she didn't believe me. She gave me the missing items. When we got home the double Western bacon burger that l had ordered with Xtra sauce. Didn't even have any sauce on it. Even though it was clearly written Xtra sauce on the wrapper. Also wanted to mention, The lady at the window when I paid, seemed irritated that I asked for drink carrier for the 3 drinks. Needless to say probably won't be going back. At least not back to the Hazel...
Read moreNot happy with this location, after I just tried to order food in the drive-thru, and the guy on the headset was insanely rushing me like I had to immediately order in less than 60 seconds or else I couldn't have any food or something, I haven't been to Carl's Jr. In over 2 or 3 years or so. So I honestly didn't even have a clue what they had on the menu anymore, even people that go there alot take a minute or 2 to make their order... This is just total B.S. I just left hungry and didn't order anything I'm guessing its because he was about to get off his shift or something, but that attitude is just plainly unacceptable doesn't matter if you're about to get off work, while your there on the floor that's 100% YOUR JOB to serve the customer's in a normal respectful orderly fashion.. NOT COMING HERE ANYMORE I know & understand that it was just that guy and not everyone is like that, but that's not the first or second time that the employees at this location were extremely difficult and disrespectful.
Idk that's just me talking and thinking. Not everyone will agree this location sucks, & I totally get it &...
