If I could give this a negative rating I would. I'm 50 and experienced one of the worst customer service experiences in fast food ever. This location is on my way to work so I stopped here for more convenience then anything else, largely the staff at the drive thru is really never very friendly.
I love using Restaurant Apps for ordering because you get deals, orders a little quicker and rewards. I have several fast food apps for multiple restaurants and the Carl Jr's is my least favorite. It seems like the staff here and other locations hate it, most times when you tell them I put in a mobile app order they say ohhhhh that just came in... It doesn't matter if I placed the order 15 minutes or more prior to arrival. The staff seems irritated and it really projects to the customer. My favorite apps are Jack in the Box and Chick-fil-A.
Ok lets talk about the visit 6:22 am on 6/29/22. I placed my mobile order just after 6am. I arrived at 6:22 am. I pulled up to the drive thru and waited a few moments for someone to come to the speaker. When they did they asked me what I wanted to order and like every other time I said I placed a mobile app order and gave him my name.
His exact response was this the last time I am doing this for you.... Now I have to say I was a bit confused and asked for what for me...he started rampaging about he was the only one there and had to open the store and he just got my order. Still a bit confused I asked for how long would they not be taking mobile orders. His response was I just dropped your order pull forward it would be a minute, I said ok and asked for the name of the stores general manager and owner and a phone number to call them, he said he would be happy to.
Know there is no way to cancel the order through the app and you are already charged when you place the order otherwise I would have just left and go to the VERY friendly Jack in the Box just up the road.
I pulled up to the window and waited. He handed me the order and a piece of paper with the name Ryan and a phone number. I said thank you and said you do realize restaurants have the ability to turn off the ability for people to order. He started rampaging again and said he not going to do that he didn't have time and would just not fill mobile app orders. He told me that I should have more respect for people working short staffed and just started to yell at me I pulled away feeling a afraid hearing him yell at me hanging half way out the drive thru yelling don't ever come back and something about loosing all respect for me .. I don't know this person and felt personally attacked.
I pulled around away from the building close to the gas station and called the number. It ended up being the store number and after letting it ring for awhile, the same person answered the phone identifying himself as the store manager.
I ended up throwing the food out because I was afraid because of his behavior he may have done something to it.
I filed a complaint with the Corp Office but have yet to hear back...
I am not going to be going to Carl...
Read moreLemme start by saying the young lady who took my order was extremely nice, she misunderstood my order which was two of the 2for5 breakfast sandwiches. Two burritos, 1 biscuit sandwich, and 1 sourdough sandwich. I got my order, drove away, only two burritos, went back through, told them, she said no prob, sorry. Waited, got the next bag, looked in, only the sourdough, no biscuit, waved her down again and told her, she asked the lady cooking, then asked for my receipt, said I wasn't charged for the biscuit, only 1 2 for 5, and the sourdough, which was 5 as well. I said ok, but I still need that sandwich what are we gonna do, she says idk, but I have customers behind you, I said I'm a customer. The lady from the back came over (not to be rude, but the only way a can describe her is she is a older lady with only one tooth) and told me I wasn't charged so I can't have it, I said yea but I asked for it, she just put it in wrong, and I don't know what the problem is because either way the total was 10 bucks, she gets very rude, and starts to walk away, I call her back and she rudely points at the receipt telling my I wasn't charged for it, I say I get that, but again it's the same price as what I paid for that she typed in wrong, she says no, 2 2for5 is 11.80, and I paid 10 something, I said no, tax is 8.7% on 10 that would be 10.87, but that's not the point, I will pay whatever the difference is, she tries to shut the window in my face and walk away again, I asked the young lady what are we gonna do, she asked the rude lady, and she says I'm gonna go make his biscuit sandwich, window shuts in my face, I wait for food, young lady hands food to me without even looking, I told her I'm sorry. I understand she was probably embarrassed or something, but that rude old lady in the back should in no way have a job with customers, she can't process simple math to solve issues, and has terrible people skills, so she resorts with rudeness and nastiness, I ended up throwing the last sandwich away because I didn't feel comfortable eating it, she honestly seems like a person who would do something to...
Read moreI pulled through the drive through at 9:00 PM looking for a quick dinner after a long day, and seeing that no one was in the dining room or in queue for drive-thru I decided Carl's Jr. would be the way to go. At the order panel, the drive-through clerk asked me to wait before beginning my order. As you can see through the windows into the store, she was busy talking to someone casually and ignoring me, the patron. The individual she was speaking with started walking away and she advised that now I could place my order, so I began only to be cut off with a "oh wait, hang on" and to see that her friend had returned and they were talking again. 3 minutes later I finally was able to place about the simplest order I can imagine; 2 chicken quesadillas and 2 small sodas.
I pulled to the window and paid, and waited. I then waited some more. 8 minutes passed and I was told it was going to be a few minutes longer and to please pull to the front of the store. I obliged, and while sitting there one of the employees came out and sat in front of my car and had a cigarette. He finished and went inside, and as I was becoming more and more frustrated I followed him into the store. He was the one preparing my food. It was no wonder I was not being served, having a cigarette was more important than fulfilling a customer's order.
I know fast food jobs suck, and I know I can't expect the moon but 24 minutes from order to served is slower than a Denny's or an Applebees for Christ's sake. I have had plenty of fine experiences at other Carl's Jr. locations, but this one always lets me down. This last experience will by my final at this location, and the fact I have spent too much time on this review speaks to how irritating it is. Avoid this location, and cross the street to Jimmy John's...
