We have a friend who is a manager at a Dairy Queen in my home town. I had another that works in a different one. My lady and I see them both a few times a month. To say I know Dairy Queen is an understatement. My lady and I are seniors. We don't like big meals. We do like ice cream. So what we usually order is off the $7.00 menu. (And if we're feeling adventurous, we'll upgrade the sundae to a blizzard). Tonight (7/13/2024) THIS Dairy Queen would not sell us the $7.00 dinners. OK. I get it. They are allowed to sell or not sell. But as a business man, a chef and a food/ restaurant critic let's do the math. Because we go so often we know 2 $7 dollar meals (upgraded by a total of 4 dollars for 2 small blizzards) comes to about $27. Walking out bc they are the ONLY ones that we've EVER encountered that would turn down a $27 sale. I know this trick as a restaurantuer, it's supposed to get folks to order off the other part of the menu. The challenge is we didn't WANT anything else. The smart mouthed kid behind the counter needs to be retrained or fired completely.
So when a restaurant reviewer posts a review and the owners answers, one would expect a personal response. Instead this is what I got;
"Hi Jack, we're sorry to hear about your experience. We appreciate your feedback and are always listening to our fans. We hope you give us another chance next time you're craving DQ food and treats."
Why would we give them another try when they have NOT addressed the issue. A basic statement that is probably used for all complaints shows a real lack of caring by the owners. It's no wonder the staff is poorly trained. Don't waste you time and money on this lousy excuse for a...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because of Myesha . She Is a great team player with a positive attitude. I came in to order and the young kid behind the register said he didn't know how to work the register to take orders , and he needed to get another worker . Cool , no worries. The problem was when he told the other gentleman he needed him to take my order , the guy just said "yeah " and proceeded to walk out to his car . Unfortunately it kinda looked like maybe the young looked up to him cause he followed him out there . Another worker seemed to be clocked out cause she walked by me and out the door as well. Kinda weird experience. Drive thru 12+ cars lined out into the parking lot . My self and three other customers walking in and they just left Myesha and another young lady in the back to carry all of it . I asked Myesha if that really just happened? , or am I missing something? 🤔 lol She apologized to me and I told her it's not her fault and I appreciated how much effort she was putting in to make sure that I wasn't just standing there . As well as the three customers that had walked in . Management probably needs to take a look at how these kids are getting trained , if at all. They pay them enough money now to have a reasonable expectation of the job getting done the correct way it should especially in an an industry that one bad interaction can cause the company to lose not just one customer but probably more as it trickles down . . Thank you Myesha for being a great team player, they are lucky...
Read moreRAW French Fries & Runny Blizzards. Just wasted a little over $50 bucks tonight at this Diary Queen, very very disappointed in how bad the quality of the food and service has gotten here. I use to take my family here all the time to get food and ice cream and the last 2 times we have been here we were disappointed but not this disappointed. After tonight we probably will never go back to this location. They forgot something on our order and had to run my credit card 2 times. Then they gave us fries and they were very RAW! Raw potato’s and not even salted. We gave our French fries back and told the kid at the window they were raw and nicely asked for new ones, he was yelling across to the person at the fryer and you can hear the other kid disputing getting us new ones. They had us pull our car up to wait and ended up bringing fries out to our car and guess what, it was the same exact RAW fries. Neither me or my wife were in the mood to go in and ask for a refund, we ended up taking the fries back home and threw them in the air fryer to actually cook them. The young girl who brought the fries out to our car forgot to bring 6 blizzards, so then we waited even longer. When the blizzards finally got to us all of them were melted and runny. Never received ice cream anywhere that was so runny. The girl who came out to our car both times has a very bad attitude. All of our blizzards are currently in the freezer, waiting to be frozen enough to eat and enjoy. Worse experience ever had at any...
