Last Sunday I ordered two pizzas from this location and customized one of the pizzas to remove the onions that are normally on the recipe because of an onion allergen of one of my guests. The pizzas arrived and the pizza had onions on it. I called the store and they immediately were dispatching a replacement. I gave my number to the guy 3 times (although I'm not sure why he didn't just use the one on the first order, he said he was looking at the order in the computer as we were talking). Side note: I had requested pie cut instead of square cut on the thin crust as a preference; they did both. So I ended up with pizza that looked like the DC street grid.
An hour went by and I never heard from them regarding the replacement pizza. I called and the young lady said, "I delivered that 40 minutes ago; I tried calling you twice and texted you." When I told her I never got calls or texts, she read me the number he had put on the order... wasn't my number. By this time, the pizza was cold and my guests were leaving. I asked for a refund and she told me that there wasn't a manager in the store that could give me a refund for the one pizza (I was fine paying for the rest of the order). She gave me the number for the national customer service that only directs you to go to their website.
I wrote a complaint on their site and got a response email from a "noreply" email address stating that the owner/franchisee would reach out to me. It has been a week. I've reached out to Dominos Corporate and to the store and no one is willing to talk about it. So I've paid for pizza that I and my guest couldn't enjoy and the company that made multiple mistakes will not correct the issue or even communicate with me about it. It's really sad because I've ordered from them MULTIPLE times before and have typically received great food and good service from them. It is a shame that they won't own up to their mistakes and at least have a conversation with me about what happened. Not even an apology.
Update: On 09/14/23, the owner/franchisee reached out to me to discuss my experience and he immediately issued a refund as well as credits for future orders. He truly listened, empathized, and apologized for the issues and said he would immediately speak with the store leadership. I appreciate his response and willingness to...
Read moreWorst and most dishonest people I've ever seen.Mind you, this was my second time to this location. The first time the lady taking my order was actually picking her nose in front of me. Had to console myself thinking that at least she's not the one making my food. But who knows right?
This time, I went in there placed an order for a small pizza and paid $8, then a guy standing next to me told me the large pizza actually cost $7 so i turned back to change my order. The cashier was ready to change it but one of the guys standing by, I believe was one of the cooks or not was not having it. He claimed that the small pizza will be ready in 2 minutes. Like since when does it take less than 4 minutes to make a pizza at dominos at least not at this location.
Anyways, the cashier changed the order and the guy said "it would take long then" and I said fine. 20 minutes pass and my order was not ready. That same guy came in front and whispered something to the cashier and looked at me in a funny way. Then I knew something fishy was going on. People came after me, placed thier order and got thier food and left. I ask the cashier and she insisted my food was not ready. So i called my uncle who leaves a few blocks away. I had him come in, got the menu, placed his order and waited for his food. Behold he got his order and left but my food was still not ready. I aked the cashier and she maintained my food was not ready. I left without the food noh my money.
When I got home, I called and asked to speak with the manager, the manager claimed that everybody that received thier order before me were just picking up and she hung up the phone on me. I called back and another guy picked up the phone and said my order was ready. But i didn't go back for it. Apart from the fact that I didn't have time to go back, I could not trust them anymore and will never do. Who knows what next they could do to my food. Will definitely be calling the cooperate office on Monday and we will take...
Read moreShort version: This Dominos appears to be owned by others that have records of bad service in DC, and unfortunately this location is no different. It's way more trouble than it is worth to deal with the myriad problems these stores have; avoid in favor of something local.
Long version: Ordered from this location after not ordering Dominos for almost a year due to terrible service from the NoMa location. Ordered carryout and our order wasn’t ready when we arrived - even though we received a notice that it was. When we went in to check they said they were having a hard time finding our order, and then repeatedly started telling us it was just going in to the oven. We waited curbside, parked in the road per their instructions, for over half an hour before we finally got our food and it took frequent check-ins for them to actually make our pizza.
While waiting, out of curiosity I looked to see what the customer service number was and lo and behold, it has the same owners as the infamous NoMa location. They asked us if we wanted anything to make up for the delay and then gave us a weird, random, cold pizza. The pizza we did order was not made correctly. I tried to call the manager to express this complaint as soon as we noticed it, and no one answered after multiple attempts.
Stick to ordering from good local places and never convince yourself that the convenience of chain pizza is worth it, especially because it’s probably a management problem with the entire Dominos chain in DC that is unlikely to...
