Here's a more engaging version of your review: I've gotta give this place a five-star rating — I’ve never been disappointed with their food, drinks, or service. I discovered this gem a couple of months ago, and it quickly became my go-to spot. I usually opt for pick-up or delivery since I prefer avoiding crowded places. One time, when I picked up my order, I could tell the staff was a bit overwhelmed. The person preparing my food seemed a little stressed, and I felt rushed, with my small talk brushed aside. But they genuinely apologized, and thanked me for sticking with them. Today’s experience was even better. During a Grubhub delivery, the driver canceled, saying the restaurant hadn’t included my selected items. I called the restaurant, and they confirmed everything was there — turns out, the driver canceled because he didn’t want to wait five minutes, despite arriving early. I’d tipped him 15%, but the restaurant owner stepped in. When I went to pick up my order instead, he greeted me with fresh drinks, a shot of tequila for my patience, and, to top it off, told me my food would be on the house due to the inconvenience. This place truly goes above and beyond! Big thanks to everyone at LaPlacitas — you’ve earned my loyalty.

The BEST restaurant experience we’ve had in a while. The food is amazing. The service was on point. And for the price ?? We couldn’t believe the find we made in this place! Wouldn’t be surprised if they need a bigger space soon. Food Network should visit this spot. It’s legit. The papusas are muy muy rico. Sooo good! The plantains, the rice, beans , the tamales, wow. And the margaritas!!! They were really good. Their happy hour is 3-6 every day! Great price for the margaritas and they were made well. The service was exceptional. Very attentive and kind. Felt like we were visiting a family’s restaurant. It’s small and tight inside but they can fit a surprising amount of people by smart table arranging and even though you may be seated fairly close to another table the food and service was so good I didn’t mind that small issue one bit. This is a gem. Comida de El Salvador and your traditional Latin American dishes. Looks like in warmer weather they have a really cute outdoor eating space with lights. Can’t wait to go back here next time! Gracias todo at Las Placitas for a great time!

Ate here and was very disappointed. The waiter was just dreadfully awful. The guy seemed to care less. He brought us water that had no ice. We asked for a can of iced tea from the cooler he brought us some other kind of tea. We ordered queso right away as we asked for our water. The queso came out 15 minutes later which was odd. The food came a few minutes after. Although we requested no guacamole there was guacamole on there anyway. The waiter never came back at all to refill our water, we had dirty dishes at the edge of the table the whole time, he never collected them. The food itself wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful either. The huge chunks of beef were tender but lacked a lot of flavor. When we asked for our check the waiter kept on doing other things, it was annoying as we waited 10 minutes longer before I simply got up and went to the counter to pay so we could leave. We won’t go back.

VERY VERY VERY VERY poor customer and serving service. The staff ignored us for 10 minutes after being seated. After we ordered drinks and appetizers, they sent us the wrong drinks twice and then gave us this thick onion based salsa (it was horrible). We waived for our waitress but the lady who served the drinks came, we asked could she take the order and she said no the other lady was coming. So we waited another few moments and finally I got fed up and asked was anyone coming. So they sent over Jose. He said the other lady was “off her shift” but yet she’s still serving and behind the bar. He took our food order and said he would be back. Our food came out at a decent time but it came out in sections. We were trying to order a second round of drinks and more tortillas but of course we were ignored. As our previous waitress was leaving she instructed the table across from us to not leave until we had paid our bill. At that very moment it was beyond enough. We asked for the check of what we had and we were done. The food was basic and something I could’ve made my damn self, nothing special at all. Their mango margaritas are BOMB tho!!! Don’t get the salsa unless you want real live onion breath. The sizzling Tex Mex fajitas were cool they probably would’ve been better if the lady didn’t rudely place them down on the table. Best advice is to order in advanced and get it to go, unless you are of their culture, they had a change of service. However the Taco place next door, City Tacos were way better and had a much better change of service and they had excellent churros!! I highly recommend you...

How do I give minus-20 stars? Needed delivery (I'm not mobile) and the website directed me to door dash. Got a message that it was a pick up (not delivery), so I call Las Placitas immediately to cancel. Their response was "you have to call doorways." I called doordash and spent 20 mins with their computer generated questions...by the time I got a human, their response was, "you need to call Las Placitas." Called Las Placitas and their response was, "your order is now ready for pickup and we can't cancel it now." Tried doordash once again with the same answer-"call Las Placitas." How's that for a Catch-22? No one is responsible and each entity is so greedy they cannot fathom cancelling the order for future good will. I will NEVER, EVER patronize Las Placitas or doordash again. They both have lost a lifetime of business in exchange for their share of a $20 order. Instead, I had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch and will contest the charge through my bank and both entities will lose their share of that charge and ANY possibility of future business. Seems pretty dumb to me, but what do I know--I'm just a dumb combat disabled veteran with a Master's in Business Admin, who was caught in a heartless and short sighted do-loop due to short sighted avarice, but only know fair play and long-term approaches to business; someone who is naive enough to believe that fair play is not only just, but smart business. Good bye Las Placitas and Doordash. Don't take a chance on either...just...

NOT authentic Latin food. We were the only Latinos in the restaurant and explains why. The prices are out of the way we paid over $151 for 3 plates and 2 pupusas. The math for everything did not add up it was probably like $60-80 above. Three plates probably at $14 the pupusas at the most $5 for two (im just rounding here not exactly) and like $12 for two Drinks alcoholic. Two sodas at the most maybe $100 in total. They hand write the check so be careful. The pupusas were bland it looked nasty from the inside like a grey color this is being the revuelta(pork, bean, cheese). Please don't order the stuffed chille the eggs tasted spoiled does not include ground beef like an authentic plate would. ONLY includes cheese and green peppers that were stale going bad.. They did not have any good hospitality at all but it could be because we were salvadorian too. I don't know why but it seems like they didn't like having other Latinos there. Probably because we'd be able to tell the difference between good Latin food. They were super rude no greeting no good service and really bad food. If you don't know what real salvadorian food is then this is the perfect amateur spot for you. Oh not to mention when they were brining out my food the women saw me drop my knife and continues to try to place the food over my head while I'm bending down to grab it . She was literally looking for the perfect timing to place it just instead of waiting til I get back up so she won't...
