VERY VERY VERY VERY poor customer and serving service. The staff ignored us for 10 minutes after being seated. After we ordered drinks and appetizers, they sent us the wrong drinks twice and then gave us this thick onion based salsa (it was horrible). We waived for our waitress but the lady who served the drinks came, we asked could she take the order and she said no the other lady was coming. So we waited another few moments and finally I got fed up and asked was anyone coming. So they sent over Jose. He said the other lady was “off her shift” but yet she’s still serving and behind the bar. He took our food order and said he would be back. Our food came out at a decent time but it came out in sections. We were trying to order a second round of drinks and more tortillas but of course we were ignored. As our previous waitress was leaving she instructed the table across from us to not leave until we had paid our bill. At that very moment it was beyond enough. We asked for the check of what we had and we were done. The food was basic and something I could’ve made my damn self, nothing special at all. Their mango margaritas are BOMB tho!!! Don’t get the salsa unless you want real live onion breath. The sizzling Tex Mex fajitas were cool they probably would’ve been better if the lady didn’t rudely place them down on the table. Best advice is to order in advanced and get it to go, unless you are of their culture, they had a change of service. However the Taco place next door, City Tacos were way better and had a much better change of service and they had excellent churros!! I highly recommend you...
Read moreHow do I give minus-20 stars? Needed delivery (I'm not mobile) and the website directed me to door dash. Got a message that it was a pick up (not delivery), so I call Las Placitas immediately to cancel. Their response was "you have to call doorways." I called doordash and spent 20 mins with their computer generated questions...by the time I got a human, their response was, "you need to call Las Placitas." Called Las Placitas and their response was, "your order is now ready for pickup and we can't cancel it now." Tried doordash once again with the same answer-"call Las Placitas." How's that for a Catch-22? No one is responsible and each entity is so greedy they cannot fathom cancelling the order for future good will. I will NEVER, EVER patronize Las Placitas or doordash again. They both have lost a lifetime of business in exchange for their share of a $20 order. Instead, I had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch and will contest the charge through my bank and both entities will lose their share of that charge and ANY possibility of future business. Seems pretty dumb to me, but what do I know--I'm just a dumb combat disabled veteran with a Master's in Business Admin, who was caught in a heartless and short sighted do-loop due to short sighted avarice, but only know fair play and long-term approaches to business; someone who is naive enough to believe that fair play is not only just, but smart business. Good bye Las Placitas and Doordash. Don't take a chance on either...just...
Read moreNOT authentic Latin food. We were the only Latinos in the restaurant and explains why. The prices are out of the way we paid over $151 for 3 plates and 2 pupusas. The math for everything did not add up it was probably like $60-80 above. Three plates probably at $14 the pupusas at the most $5 for two (im just rounding here not exactly) and like $12 for two Drinks alcoholic. Two sodas at the most maybe $100 in total. They hand write the check so be careful. The pupusas were bland it looked nasty from the inside like a grey color this is being the revuelta(pork, bean, cheese). Please don't order the stuffed chille the eggs tasted spoiled does not include ground beef like an authentic plate would. ONLY includes cheese and green peppers that were stale going bad.. They did not have any good hospitality at all but it could be because we were salvadorian too. I don't know why but it seems like they didn't like having other Latinos there. Probably because we'd be able to tell the difference between good Latin food. They were super rude no greeting no good service and really bad food. If you don't know what real salvadorian food is then this is the perfect amateur spot for you. Oh not to mention when they were brining out my food the women saw me drop my knife and continues to try to place the food over my head while I'm bending down to grab it . She was literally looking for the perfect timing to place it just instead of waiting til I get back up so she won't...
