John G's Bier Deck — Restaurant in Washington

Absolute garbage. Let me clarify a little. Clearly the cook and management have given up on food and customer service. I ordered the pasta con broccoli and first off it came out at room temperature. The broccoli was old and under cooked and the mushrooms had turned. My wife ordered the portobello mushroom caps which came out in a plastic basket with parchment paper in the bottom. She ended up eating some of the paper and tasted like dirt like they weren't cleaned before cooking. If you're only choice it eating here you would be better just getting a can of pasta from the store. The service was slow but at least the server was adequate. I've been cooking for over 28 year's and have never come across food this disappointing and soul destroying. If the care of food and their customers is any indication of how they run their attached distillery I would be afraid to...

Love this place. I feel like this is the heart of Washington. The views are beautiful, unfortunately I was so taken by the train that is what I was taking pictures of!!! Lol. You come on in and head up to the bar where you place your order and you are usually greeted by one of the owners who are always there it seems Terry or Jerry or one of their staff who are also amazing. They make you feel like you are right at home. Beer selection is fantastic of course they also offer other drinks of the non alcoholic kind, pizza and food is also amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are ever in Washington, Missouri you should stop by and enjoy this place for a bit the Bier Deck itself will keep you coming back...

I went with a group of about 15 co workers we ordered drinks and appetizers which we waited for 35 minutes after that about 5 minutes later the waitress took our order for the entrees. We waited for another hour and a half. During this l watched 5 other tables come in after us and get served and the food delivered before we finally asked what was going and they told us they were serving the smaller tables first and that they were getting ready to put our steaks on the grill. This is after we have been waiting for an hour and a half. We paid our amount due and told them that we were going to leave and go somewhere else. We didn't get much of an apology.
