Ray and I hosted 2 horse Confidence Building events at our ranch this past weekend. By the time the day concluded on Sunday, I was exhausted, hungry, and wanted something to eat that didn’t involve me being in the kitchen.
Teriyaki sounded good so we went in search of dinner. We could not find the first place, but were thrilled with our second choice.
Kobe Teriyaki is in an older, rather rundown looking strip mall in Parkland. The restaurant itself, while small, was clean, bright and the total opposite of the outside. Judging by the high volume of take out orders, which was multiple and non-stop, the entire time we were there, they are popular and well liked.
There were two large boards with menu items along with two more boards listing their specials. There are pictures of some of the meals; one which looked like Ray’s meal. His meal matched the picture perfectly!!! It was a good thing!!
While there are several tables, we were the only diners. Everything else was takeout.
Meal orders are placed at the counter, and brought to the table when ready. I ordered chicken and Mongolian beef. Ray ordered chicken and General Tso’s chicken. Meals are custom made. Our meals came out hot, very eye appealing and the plates were well loaded.
The chicken offering is Teriyaki chicken. It had great flavor and the sauce was not overbearing. The Mongolian beef had the right amount of sauce over a bed of crispy noodles.
The General Tso’s chicken was our favorite!!! It is probably the best I have ever had. It is offered as a standalone meal and will be what I order the next time we eat there.
Even though there was only one person taking orders, and getting them out the door, she still took time to check on us, make sure our meal was to our liking, and brought us boxes so we could take the rest of our meal home.
I can’t wait to try some of their other offerings. We will definitely be back.
The reason for the 4 star for atmosphere, was the lack of a total dining experience with full service. My meal came out ahead of Ray’s meal by at least 5 minutes. We started eating it as I did not want to wait and let it get cold, please I was ravenous and it smelled too good to let sit. When his came out I forgot to take a picture. Sorry!!! Despite that, it is not a deal breaker to keep us...
Read moreDrove past this place a couple times. Finally decided to go in and I’ve been back 3 days in a row. I’ve always called and placed my order to go. The place has been very clean when I go inside. Always others waiting for their order as well. The same lady has been at the front each time. Very friendly each time. I keep getting the same food when I go. The Mongolian beef is delicious. I want to try something new but that Mongolian beef has me in a chokehold. You can’t go wrong with beef, onions and a delicious sauce. I got the beef ramen once. It was full of meat, vegetables and ramen noodles. I was impressed. The broth smelled very good and had the egg inside like egg drop soup. Added it all together and the broth was very salty. I had to add some hot water to it to bring the saltiness down. Still flavorful. The ramen was delicious and filling after that slight adjustment. I mean it is ramen it’s known to be salty. Crab Rangoon tastes like any other places Crab Rangoon. It was nothing that made it stand out. Ohhhh almost forgot the spicy house sauce. I stuck random bites into it before eating it and it burns so good. Get the spicy house sauce it’s good! I’m going to go back and try something else soon. I’ll update as I go. If you are in the area check it out. See if you like it as much as I do!
9/20 Still getting the Mongolian beef every time but this time I tried the Honey Garlic Chicken and it’s good as well but not better than the Mongolian beef. I also got more crab Rangoon which is really just fried cream cheese I didn’t taste or see anything crab this time around. Hot and sour soup - I couldn’t eat it. It burned it...
Read moreHands down the best Teriyaki place I have ever had. They really take the extra step. Great service so friendly. It only took about 10min for my order to be ready, and I took my food to go. When I left I remember thinking "I should have asked for a menu to take home". When I arrived home I found there was already a menu placed inside my bag. The paper bag wasn't the standard paper bag, it was different. They took the extra step to put their logo/name on the bag. Their to go containers are very durable. Included napkins and a fork without request. First i ate my salad. The salad wasn't just Iceburg lettuce, they also added carrots and cabbage on top. Their dressing was so good. Thick and creamy house dressing. The crab racoon i ate next. It was made perfectly. Flavorful and so crunchy. And finally I made it to my meal. When I opened up the container I was shell shocked to find that my spicy Teriyaki chicken was in a nice little aluminum foil nest to keep it hot. And it was still very much piping hot. They also don't just give you chicken they cook up onions with it. When I say that I've never had such good Teriyaki... or such good service. I really am not lying. This is going to be my go-to Teriyaki spot from here on out. Open 7 days a week. This means Teriyaki on SUNDAYS! And open until 9pm most nights. This place seriously floored me. I'm already thinking about...
