Monical's Pizza — Restaurant in Washington

We like Monicals Pizza in the Cherry Tree Center in Washington, IL. We have had several birthday parties, retirement party, baby shower, other celebrations in their large room in the back. We like their Family Pleaser Meal, which consists of your choice of pizza,(pan or thin crust), a Garden Fresh Salad (fresh lettuce,tomatoes,shredded carrots, & Colby cheese.) Plus a pitcher of your choice of soft drink, Iced tea, or Sweet tea. Great deal for a family. If you don't feel like pizza, Monicals has great sandwiches. All sandwiches are served on a warm sub roll with chips or apple sauce. I love their Turkey BLT. It's sliced turkey with crisp bacon,tomato,light mayo and lettuce. Their BBQ Chicken sandwich is a grilled chicken with melted Mozzarella cheese on top and BBQ sauce slathered on the top. Oh, they taste soooo good! If you are looking for a lot of meat on a sandwich...you can't go wrong with a Monicals Hot Sicilian which has bacon, pepperoni, sliced ham, melted Mozzarella cheese, lettuce and dijonaise mustard. Lots of other choices include: Turkey Sub Italian Beef Meatball Sub Veggie Sub Or you can order 1/2 Sandwich plus an individual garden salad with the dressing of your choice. Their salad dressings are very good. Their sweet and tart is like a red french dressing. I like their Ranch dressing. Other choices include Creamy Italian, Thousand Island, Fat-Free Vinaigrette, Light Ranch, or Light Sweet & Tart. Other salads available are: Pecan Grilled Chicken Salad Southwest Chicken Salad Antipasto Salad Garden Fresh Salad All are good. I have had them for lunch many times. Always fresh! Terrible service! Me and my family waited well over 20-25 minutes with nobody coming over to our table. There was absolutely no wait here, there were about 2 tables full and that was it. The staff just completely ignored us, we saw them multiple times staring us down and we even waved at them and they just stood in the back talking and staring at us and not taking our orders. We just left, and when we called the store to talk to a manager right after we left, he said "We do have a wait" No, you don't, you had atleast 5 or 6 waiters/waitresses with only 2 tables that have already been served and had their food. He also said "Oh, we didn't realize you were there, we didn't see you" Seriously? Over half of your staff team saw us, stared us down and decided not to take our orders. I'd get it if you guys were busy, but like I said, there were only 2 tables full. I will most definitely be calling corporate and complaining about this, we come here all the time and not once has this ever happened. I just thought I should let this be seen...

I gave this only 1 star because it was required that I give a star in order to post a review, otherwise I would have given 0 stars. So this is the 3rd time we have ordered for delivery from this location that our order has been delivered at least 30 minutes or more late. Tonight, I ordered at 4:00PM. It was supposed to be delivered by 6:00. They called and left a vm stating it was going to be late, but by 6:15. Our order was not delivered until 6:30. When I called I didn't receive even so much as an apology. The other 2 occasions that our order was delivered late, I called as well, and spoke to a manager, who did not offer an apology those times either.
