This review is long overdue. When Talia's opened I ran in for some rolls after Shop Rite didn't have what we needed. We were always just ok with the prior occupants but when I saw them I was hopeful, and when I got home and cut into one I was overjoyed. I spent a decade in Philly and have been searching locally for a long roll that crunches when you cut it with an inside that melts in your mouth since moving here, and now I don't have to drive more than 3 minutes to get one (and that's waiting for a traffic light). My wife bakes sweets but not bread, so having Talia's there is a dream (except on Monday morning when I realize I forgot to go on Sunday :-) ). That said, this morning I couldn't resist getting a cheese danish and while I cannot promise you it's the best I've ever had, it is easily the best I've ever brought home with me. We spent the winter with family in FL this year and I got so used to having to get supermarket bread that I managed to forget about Talia's when we got back. I managed to remember as I was walking into Shop Rite and I turned on my heels and went back out the door so fast I must have freaked people out. Highly...
Read moreLet me start out by. I usually never write reviews but I just had to .I went to this bakery unaware that the previous bakery had shut down about a year ago I walked in looking for rainbow cookies but they had all sold out. the owner assured me that they would make more this weekend. So the fact that they actually bake their own was a plus for me .The next best thing was jelly cookies dipped in chocolate with sprinkles and I have to tell you I know most bakeries bake those cookies even commercially. They usually come in a pack of cookies at like the supermarket. But this is by far the BEST place I've ever bought them from. I shared the cookies with my family and every person that ate that cookie said that it was the BEST cookie they had ever eaten from any other bakery or store. It was so moist! The taste alone was delicious. So good outstanding. I'm glad they picked up this bakery and I will definitely be back for more pastries and to try the rest of...
Read moreI used to go to this bakery often when my child was young for the cupcakes and the horseshoe danishes that were stuffed with raspberry and apricot and stuff. I bought two angel wing cookies today, and three of the stuffed…?? I don’t know what you call them. They are something like a large rugelach, but these are straight. They are not in a horseshoe shape. They were good, but I think they used to make them better. The angel wing cookies were a little hard to me, but they were still good. I don’t know if it’s just me but I asked how much the cheesecake was and it was small. It was like $18 and I asked how much a strawberry shortcake was and again the cakes were small. The shortcake was $29. Maybe that’s going rate cause I don’t buy them often, but that was a little too steep for me. I bought some rolls that were fresh and good. Have...
