With a fun and eclectic mix of food and drink options, this is a nice place to go if you and your friends aren't sure what you want or can't agree on a single cuisine. I've tried the Ethiopian/Korean/Filipino stall and the bagel stall. My Ethiopian veggie platter was delicious, as was my bagel with hummus and avocado. My boyfriend got a pork belly sandwich, which he liked but wasn't bowled over by, and may never forgive the bagel place for being out of salmon when we went midday on a Sunday. On one visit, we stayed for some beers in the bar area. I liked that the bar features local brews and is decorated with shelves packed with a variety of second-hand books. I'm tempted to give five stars, but have stuck with four for now because it feels a bit uncertain what will be open and what they'll have available on any...

On the outside, Tastemakers feels like a miniature Union Market. On the inside, it's a food hall with a mission. It's goal is to provide a state of the art commercial kitchen for food start ups in Washington, D.C. to use to launch their businesses.

Located in Brookland, it's one of the food destinations in NE DC and only a 10 minute drive from fun NW neighborhoods like Shaw. It's a large building housing a handful of stands. There's bagels at Bullfrog, ice cream at Captain Cookie, meatballs at Balls. There's a coffee shop, a bar in the back, and a few other businesses.

There are plenty of seats (with Trivia Pursuit cards on them for conversation starters). If it's nice outside, there's a lawn in the front.

If you want a new, unique food experience in DC, head up...

This review is for Taqueria del Barrio at the Tastemakers food court. To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement, especially after some great reviews that I read on Google. You can see the picture and see for yourself...how does someone charge $3.00 for a taco with hardly any effort (or ingredients) put into it? The tacos were quite small, but the one all the way to the left was just horrendous, and the server didn't seem to have a problem calling our name to pick up the order. Stay away from this place if you're hungry, I'd say the Qdoba chain is far superior...

This is an absolutely wonderful and clever idea. The people there are so nice and accommodating. The food is superb. We ordered from Bangbop. They catered to our requests and made everything fresh just for us. Highly recommended! The lady working at the front kiosk was also so nice and helpful in explaining to us how the whole operation works.
