Freshly prepared, honest ingredients, no fakes, no sugar no creamy dressing. Crispy organic vegetables, local bread, local meats! A selection of real drinks - sugar free tea. Bottled coke. Aqua minerale. Free pitchers of water if you wish. Thoughtful recipes… Great style in a standup café with tables outside and stools inside. Hidden in a little street side maze of shops at the center of Eastsound. Really a delight to find people making real food and smiling. They also sell wine, and they’re right next to a wine shop for a broader selection. For dessert, there’s a super ice cream by the scoop 10 m away. Good luck. I Hope to return there.

This place has super friendly service! I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was very fresh! You could tell the bun was firm and the ingredients were good. My only issue with the sandwich is that the pickled lettuce/ slaw made the chicken soggier. It’s not your typical deep fried chicken sandwich but it was a great amount of food! It was about $23+ including tip. Wish it came with some chips or drink as a meal but a good first meal on orcas island

If the West Side Kitchen was a musical artist, I’d pay premium big bucks just to be in the nosebleeds. I’m a fanatic. I swore off spending for a while once, but broke in honor of their beef bulgogi. They’re consistent, fresh, kind, and quick given the volume. Lots of fun beverages and snacks, great music, and overall their love for what they do is reflected in the food. I want to eat a bahn mi or drunken noodle as I write this. Don’t miss this.

A local favorite/ my vegetarian daughter craves the tofu teriyaki. The drink options are bizarrely amazing for such a small lunch counter spot. Hello Kitty juice/ the real deal iced matcha sifted and whisked per order (no sugar or all the sugar). What’s so great is the delicious comfort food vibe that boasts amazing quality green salads and fresh herbs. And it’s a tiny island. Hard to pull off? But they do so rip-stop well. The fried chicken sandwich is glorious. If you were three karaoke songs in you’d be beyond happy and if you were well-traveled and you just needed a sincere napkin-worthy Sando- it’s solid. The boba menu is coming! The owner and co are pros and make serving great food to island folk and tourists alike seem breezy. And we know it’s not. Plus they’re sweet and friendly. They crush the family vibe, the local vibe and the visiting amazing Orcas island vibe. Like Arnold,...

We stopped by for lunch today after not wanting to wait the day before as they were very busy on Monday as so many other places in town are closed.

We both had the Spicy Thai salad with steak strips added. The greens were fresh and crisp, with strips of tender steak strips. The star of this salad is the spicy Thai dressing it is very spicy and flavorful not just hot, sadly lots of places make things hot but forget to include the flavor, thankfully these guys have not. In fact if the bottled it I would be taking several home with me.

We found seats inside which allowed us to linger and chat with the staff and owner when things slowed down...
