I typically go for the greasy walkup joints for a burger, but I'm glad I tried this 'world famous' burger. I got the namesake Valley burger with the works. Thick with a great crust on the meat. Lots of melted cheddar, onion, jalapeno, and sauce. I would have loved a little more sauce, and a small bag of ruffles instead of fries doesn't cut the mustard. Beer selection was modest, but it's the kind of place you should be drinking a Raineer anyway, so was sufficient. Staff were friendly and prompt.

The Valley Tavern is a local spot. The gal that took care of us was very friendly and Johnny on the spot. Like any place else had to sit out side. We got a seat close to one of the heaters and had a few drinks. We didn't eat any food but according to the sign they got world famous burgers. I'd absolutely come back.

Great burger, best ever!! Half pound with a bunch of cheese, yummy. Too bad the night crew didn't do any cleaning, booths were dirty, had to ask for it to be wiped. Not the friendliest waitress, yet the food was so good it wasn't so important. Outdoor seating area was very pretty.

No other way to say it…this place is AWESOME! Great food, great people, great service…always. World Famous burger or Friday Night Fish & Chips and everything in between…you can’t go wrong. Unless you want a couple cold Yellow jackets…seems to be a shortage right now hahaha! Yeah, it’s cash only. Quit whining and hit the ATM. Yup, it’s a tavern, so leave the kiddos at home. And YES, you will see the Hawks, Ms, Kraken etc on game days, so get down there and have a hot bigger and a cold beverage…you won’t be disappointed. Any bad reviews you see are people who don’t understand what a real small town, yet world famous, tavern is and should be. Oh yeah…wanna play BACON BINGO?? Well, you gotta go to the Valley for all the...

Do NOT order the "tamales" as you will get a pile of cheese, onions, a couple of jalapenos, and who knows what little else. When it was served, I asked if "this was a tamale?". And reassured it was. This dish resembles a melted sick cow patty, there is no tamale in sight. Not even close. Bonus: this mess is served on a piece of tin foil after having been baked to death in a toaster over. Not a corn husk in sight. Not a bit of Mexican sabor, no spices, just blah. And oddly enough, it tastes just like an overcooked pile of greasy cheese with onions. Avoid...

Rude people work here, and you can tell they know that theyre being rude to you. The only reason why they are getting high reviews is because they have a loyal following by the locals. I used to be a local near the town, and Ive been around enough businesses in Port Townsend and Port Hadlock to know which businesses are local based and which are tourist and "everyone else based". And the Tavern only cares about the customers who are regulars. Everyone else can go "F" themselves is the vibe you get from...
