First off, the style of this restaurant is gorgeous. Perfect for a date night or just friends getting together for a delicious meal. I love how open and inviting it is when you walk in. The simple industrial style lighting and design is relaxing yet stunning at the same time. Once seated by the very attentive staff you’ll get the chance to leaf through the menu while enjoying some background music, which is low enough that you can also have an easy laid-back conversation with the rest of your party. I’ve been here when the restaurant has had live music as well and the acoustics really work with the layout. It allows for your party to enjoy the music but not be overwhelmed or distracted from the real reason why you should visit this establishment, I’m speaking of course about the food! Holy smokes! Every dish I’ve ordered I have enjoyed, from the appetizers to the absolutely scrumptious desserts. Especially their cheese cake, always leave some room for that. All the meals I have tried are full of flavor and very aesthetically pleasing. I would suggest any of the steak options or the shrimp and grits if you’re really hungry and have no other plans for the night aside from sitting down and digesting hah. Lastly, I’d be amiss if I didn’t mention the cocktails. They have a wide variety of options for any palate and they are all well-crafted and delicious. I would suggest the Chop House Old Fashioned :) for the non-alcoholic options the restaurant has many virgin mixes and espresso drinks that will knock your socks off. I highly recommend ordering an espresso to pair with your dessert! Overall I cannot wait until our next visit. I would feel comfortable taking anyone to Chop House, from friends and family to work colleagues.

Our party of four enjoyed the soft-opening dinner at the Chop House. There were some rough edges, but that is to be expected during a soft opening. I expect this place will officially open with full five-star service. Though a very rainy day, the view of Lake Lucille was beautiful. We were seated in a large booth facing a full wall of windows overlooking the lake. The booth was nicely apolsterded and comfortable, but it was somewhat clumsy and too big for our size party for conversing over dinner. The wait staff was prompt and provided very good service. But there was an odd moment when they brought a warm bread basket to our table. The basket consisted of 3 slices of bread. We asked about this since there were 4 of us, and was told it was expected that we would share. We were given another basket, but the bread service was the low point of our dinner. The bread was thinly-sliced supermarket bread that had been microwaved so as to be served "warm." It was dry and not appetizing. The beer menu offered an array of local brews. Our table ordered two of their specialty drinks and those drinks and my lager were excellent. We ordered one salad that they cheerfully split for two. The salad was crispy and fresh. But the stars of the dinner were the main courses. I had the halibut, and from the first bite, I knew it was among the best I've ever had. I sampled the steak and chicken dinners ordered by others and found everything to be delicious. We all greatly enjoyed our main courses. The prices were high but competitive, given the food quality. Overall, I welcome and recommend this addition to our local dining options.

**UPDATE** We had an excellent visit for our 20 year wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the deserts were fantastic. Service was excellent as well. We are very happy to see these improvements since our last visit. We made a reservation for 6:45 PM on a Friday night. Were greeted promptly upon entering the restaurant. Staff seated us by the windows and we had a nice view of the lake. My wife and I ordered Caesar Salads that were heavily drenched in dressing. For main course the wife got the filet and I ordered the New York steak. The wife said the filet was good but her side of greens were much like warm salad and not pleasant. My New York steak was good but nothing special. I can get the same thing for WAY cheaper at Settlers Bay Lodge. And that’s the truth! My side of Brussels was fantastic. I do wish they offered a simple baked potato… The bread and butter mixture they give you is disgusting. The roasted garlic is a waist in our opinion and should be left off the plate. For desert we got the peanut butter cheesecake. It was amazing! Prices for what you actually get are actually insane! For example, my wife’s filet was $48 dollars all by itself. That is quite ridiculous. I absolutely hate when you have to order sides separately. It seems like a way to get more money out of you. Our waitress was very good and very attentive and helpful. I feel like it’s a beautiful restaurant and the staff are great. It’s just way too overpriced for what you are serving.

My Wife and I come here regularly for special occasions. I was hoping to do the same while trying to plan her 30th birthday. As it was going to be a large group of 15-20 people I knew I would need to call and not beable to book online.

Monday August 18th tried calling multiple times during operating hours no answer, tuesday's they are closed, Wednesday August 19th called multiple times early during operating hours (as I understand dinner rush can get busy) got no answer again so left a voicemail in regards to trying to make a reservation or possibly booking private dining hoping to get a call back.

I decided to give one last try wednesday and a hostess picked up. I dont remember her name but sweet and as helpful as she could be (she informed me only a manager could give me information on private dining or large group bookings and they were to busy to talk atm) she took my name number the amount of guest and said shed inform the manager that night I was interested in booking a large group for my wifes birthday.

I waited all day Thursday August 20th for a call back nothing.

Friday August 21st called around 3-3:30pm knowing they open at 4pm and wouldnt be busy. The same hostess picked up. She remembered me, assured me she informed her manager 2 days ago about my request and was also suprised I hadnt heard back. She suggested maybe the manager was trying to verify they could take a large party for the day i was trying to book and shed let them know I had reached out again and reverified all the information I gave her.

With no call back friday night and nothing saturday early evening I tried one last time again no answer.

That was it I had called over 10 times in a 6 day span Monday August 18th-Saturday August 23rd trying to get ahold of someone who could help me for this special occasion as my wife and I love the food here.

Nothing at all no follow up never a call back no information once so ever.

I was disappointed as I had wasted almost a week of my time and couldnt afford to keep trying as my wifes birthday was getting closer.

I am fortunate another local establishment was able to accomodate us, answered on the first call and was easily able to speak with a manager and get our dining experience with our family easily booked after a 10 minute conversation.

The one star is solely for the nice hostess who did answer twice in that 6 day span and apologized I hadnt heard anything.

If youre going to offer a private dining experience for large groups or offer reservations for large groups you need to do a lot better with your communication for anyone in the future so further customers are not let down as well.

This is now the 2nd let down experience I have had here. Atleast the last time we dined while we had a bad experience our waitress and the shift manager made it right which is why we were willing to go back again, now im not so...

This place could be great. The service was fantastic, our server Joe took good care of us. The menu was nice and I saw lots of dishes that I would like to try. The location is great and the high ceiling open floor plan was really well done. The drinks were really good. I had an old fashioned and my wife had the Lucille lemonade. The appetizers were okay, we had the bone marrow and shrimp & crab bisque. Presentation was well done but the bone marrow was undercooked on 3/4 of the bone. The open end had fully cooked and was easily spreadable and had that rich flavor but the rest was like chewing on cold steak fat and was terrible. A theme with their meals seems to be roasted garlic, we had it as a side on two of the dishes during our meal. However the whole bulb of garlic was not roasted but rather halfed and toasted on the outside. It was a raw bulb of garlic we were served. I like the idea because roasted garlic is delicious and should spread nicely but what we were served was just raw garlic. The bisque was good but was a little awkward to share as an appetizers, it comes out as a solo bowl and we had to pass it back and forth. We had the Ceasar salad and it was tasty but I wish there was a little more dressing and the croutons were disappointing undercooked pieces of bread. Our main entrees were good for the most part. The steaks were cooked how we ordered and well seasoned. The sides that came with my steak were just okay though. The "mash" was all but mashed, there were large chunks of potatoes in the mix. The mushrooms on top were way overseasoned, tasted like they were stored in balsamic vinegar and the tomatoes that accompanied the mushrooms on top of the steak were not ripe yet and pretty unedible. Something we did not like is how some of the steaks are only available a la carte and you have to buy sides. How is the fillet not going to have an option to come with sides, seemed weird. My wife ordered the fillet and got some sides to go with. The fillet was good. The sauté greens were awful, again undercooked and bitter, and the "mash" was again only partially mashed.

All in all we had a good time and we will come back. The only reason I am being picky is because of the prices. If you are going to charge those kind of prices then the product needs to be better. The ideas are good it's the thoughtfulness that goes into cooking the food that...
