If I was able to give a no star review I would. Worse Japanese place I’ve ever been to!! I was trying to find a good Mongolian beef place as I just moved from Fairbanks. I’ve read the reviews about theirs saying it’s to die for. It was watered down to basically a soup, very little meat, mostly onions/green onions, and the portion size was really small for almost 20$ My husband got sesame chicken it was bland and dry. We also had the worse service as it was only pick-up, first It was a common mistake mishearing pork fried rice for chicken fried rice so they took my food to the back to fix the order another 30 mins go by, I ask if my food is gonna be cold from waiting for the rice she said ”it probably will, might be; We got a new server” I get up to pay for my order and asked if they put fortune cookies in the bag the girl said “we only give them to people that dine in. They upped the prices on cookies” at that point I was already very irritated with how our experience was going. This morning I look at my bank account and they took 72.15$ ???? NEVER have I experienced being stolen from by a restaurant very disappointed and will not...

I always always always give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. If it just was an issue one time, I would not be inclined to write a poor review): Unfortunately, we have had another bad experience at Tokyo in Wasilla. Upon arriving and being seated, the hostess asked us to move tables, no biggie. But was a little inconvient for our party of 6. We ordered our meals and had no problems there, other than not being allowed to substitute or add on fried rice to our order. Our food was served to each of us, 1 at a time. With several minutes in between the next person getting their meal. Our food was cold, The service was horrible, i.e. Rude, short with us, slow, and inconsistent, etc. And to top off the night. They over charged us. Half of bills were over $30, when the total should have been less than $20. The added their own gratuity, which I understand for a larger group, BUT they added an addition $7-11onto each of our tabs. Not ok. Unfortunately we will not be returning, and our out of town guests were highly disappointed and left hungry. Regretfully...

Not sure what happened to this place, but it seems it has gone downhill since the last time I was there. I ordered some cream cheese wontons and they were overly fried, very hard and the cream cheese did not taste like cream cheese ($7.95). Ordered the vegetarian lo mein ($12.95) for an entre and it came out very bland and saturated in an insane amount of sauce. It looked like a pile of meh. From the first bite, I had to send it back. After, I decided to try a vegetarian egg roll ($5.95). It was just filled with cabbage and it was overly fried and extremely large for an egg roll. Bummer to say that the one and only time my boyfriend and I went out to dinner in Wasilla, we got a ton of crappy food, service was mediocre and we spent over $40 on food that wasn't tasty. I can't see myself going back to that place unless I would like to relax to their chill music and nice ambiant. Stick to the...

Waitress gave us big attitude and we don’t know why. Ordered chirashi and it was the SMALLEST pieces of UNFRESH sashimi we have ever been served anywhere. We love Japanese food and will never come back here. We feel mistreated, avoid this restaurant if you understand sushi!!! Also why serve us on chipped plates! Talk about cheap! Asked chef why the small fish and chipped plates. He just told us we don’t understand food and that it’s the history of the restaurant! Talk about a kitchen nightmare! Clearly this owner and staff only sees money walking through the door. They have zero respect for food or for customers!

The customer service was great and the atmosphere was definitely peaceful and relaxing. The food was *chef’s kiss* probably some of the most delicious sushi i’ve had here in Alaska. The rolls were big and shareable. I recommend the Fire Roll and the Super Tokyo Roll! The Chinese dinner was also delicious as well! Highly recommend the Sake wine (?) I could be wrong lol. I will most definitely be doing the drive from Anchorage to Wasilla for the sushi alone 😍

Salmon was frozen, and the Chef's Special for $29.99 seemed quickly prepared. I did like the bowl hot steamed rice that went with the dish. Miso soup was sodium rich but ok in small doses. FRIED RICE is the obvious winner at this restaurant. Suculant pork pieces and tender rich rice with sweet fresh peas. The tea is excellent and dissolves 1 packet of sugar when you pour into the perfect size thick Tuxton tea cups.
