Halal Bites — Restaurant in Waterbury

I had no idea what this establishment was when I was buying my dinner next door to it. What drew me in was the pictures of their dessert items. When I went in I was in absolute heaven. The staff was so kind to the point I was given a free fruit meringue dessert. The woman had asked if I had been there before and when I said this was my first time, she offered me that dessert for free. In today’s world people are too busy trying to make a buck that they forgot it’s their customers who will get them where they’re going. And that kind gesture blew me away TBH. And for that I am truly grateful. Now let me talk about the items we got. I had bought a flan and my husband bought a cheesecake that had like a moose underneath it and cake underneath that. That flan was the best flan I have ever tasted, ever and I have tasted many flans from different places before. It was creamy and stable. It was not too sweet but sweet enough. My husband ate his cheesecake and honestly, that was absolutely delicious as well. I know because I ate some too. I cannot wait to go back to try the other items that caught my eye because if what I ate was that good I can only imagine everything else will be just a good. PLEASE VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT IT WILL BE WELL WORTH IT. And oh yeah I forgot to mention, the prices were...

I went there for the first time, I ordered chicken karahi,nan and shish kabab...as we started nan waz really delicious actually one of the best nan I ever had,shish kabab waz ok too but very light, aroma waz missing but still waz ok....as soon as he served the chicken karahi on the table I was like wait a minute and called the guy and asked him what is this? I ordered chicken karahi and this is chicken curry and only 2 pieces of chicken cost $12.99...he said ohhh they made spelling mistake on the menu ,instead of chicken curry they put chicken karahi...ok i refused the dish, the horrible part waz I asked him if they have Rasmalai,he took time to answer my question and he said they have, so I ordered and when he served it waz frozen and when I put it in my mouth I tasted sour and I felt sick...literally...brooo what???? I don't know how old it waz...but I m still alive thanks to almighty.....they should be very careful if they want to run their business brooo...if I would I could report them but I believe they will improve their quality in the future if not trust me they will loose their...

I was in the area for some halal food and saw this place started their grand opening. I bought 2 mango smoothies and a Mixed Gyro with Masala Fries. Very homely and inviting decor inside.

Smoothies were made fresh with fresh ripe mangoes, over the brim, very nice sizes. Nice, sweet and smooth :)

The mixed gyro was filled with very tender lamb and chicken, with the right amount spice and sauce, and a good balance of meat and vegetables. I would definitely recommend if you are into halal style gyros.

The masala fries came out crispy and well seasoned.

Very good pricing compared to other halal spots the area.

Definitely 5/5, would recommend...
