Prime Burgers — Restaurant in Waterbury

First off, I’m a HUGE food truck junkie! So I had to try this place to see what all the hype was about.. If you haven’t been to Prime Burgers yet, you’re seriously missing out — this place is a game changer!!

Let me start with the Knockout Fries: absolutely LOADED, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor in every bite. They’re not just a side — they steal the show. I’d come back just for those fries alone!

Now, the Smash Burger… wow. Juicy, crispy edges, perfectly seasoned, and stacked just right. This is hands-down one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. It’s got that crave-worthy, messy-in-the-best-way quality that keeps you thinking about it long after you’ve left.

But here’s the twist you didn’t know you needed: Walking Tacos. Bring your own bag of chips — yes, seriously — and they load it up with whatever toppings you want. It’s like a custom taco explosion in a chip bag. Wildly fun, super delicious, and perfect for sharing (or not!).

The vibe is chill, the portions are generous, and the flavors are bold. I’ve told everyone I know about this place — and now I’m telling you: Go. Right now. You’ll thank me later.

An utterly disappointing and unacceptable experience at this establishment! I visited based on my brother’s recommendation, who purchased the “Knockout Fries” with chicken for $14 just last week. However, my visit today turned into a complete disaster.

I ordered the exact same item — Knockout Fries with crispy chicken — only to be informed at the counter that the price is now $17 because “chicken is more expensive.” Excuse me? Since when is chicken more expensive than beef? That reasoning is absurd. The printed menu clearly states “choice of protein (ground beef or crispy chicken)” with no mention whatsoever of a price difference — no asterisk, no fine print, no warning. This is blatantly deceptive...

This was my first time coming here myself and let me start by saying I was immediately impressed with the energy these guys bring to the table. Not knowing it was my first time there Jesus went over the menu with me and even recommended me a few things that I ended up buying and LOVING! This is my new favorite burger spot and I will continue to give them my business. Everyone was friendly and personable. I pretty much felt like I was at a friends house having lunch. I would give them 10 Starts however google only allows five. If you haven’t heard of them or stopped by, you’re doing yourself a disservice. TRY THEM IMMEDIATELY!!! THEY WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.
