Ordered 1 large Pepperoniest, 1 large Super Special with extra cheese, banana peppers and tomato’s, 1 small Super Special Gluten Free Crust with extra cheese, banana peppers and tomato’s and 1 kids spaghetti with meatballs. Picked up the order 45 mins later and drove home only to find that they messed up every single item. We received the following……
1 large Pepperoni Pizza (not the pepperoniest as ordered), 1 large pizza with banana peppers and tomato (all the super special toppings and extra cheese were missing), 1 small gluten free pizza with banana peppers and tomato (all the the super special toppings and extra cheese were missing on this one as well). 1 senior spaghetti with meatballs (not the kids dinner as ordered)! I should have taken photos of all but my family was hungry and wanted to eat anyway! Attached photo is one of the pizza’s and the order ticket!! See what I mean? One bite and the rest was garbage! I’ve always had great pizza from here but this time was a disgrace to say the least! Sad day for Waterbury!
I received a reply - they were very apologetic. They offered the below......
"As a small token of our regret and to show how much we value your patronage, please accept this gift card".
Not to sound funny but what gift card? Unless I'm missing something here, I don't think I can receive a gift card via google reviews!!

So, management ended up mailing us full credit. We reordered pretty much the exact same meal and they nailed it. This order was placed a few months after the my initial review. Seems they replaced staff as it was a completely different experience in the Resto when we picked up our order. I’m glad they sorted out whatever was going on there - we’ll be back...

What happens to us is we run into the evening doing chores and realize we're too tired to cook, so we look to fast food in the area, which doesn't lend too many options. So every once in a while we reluctantly choose Zachary's thinking maybe just this one time it will be good, like it used to be. But this last time we ordered, we ordered 2 pizzas, one with mushrooms, pepperoni and ham; the other with ham, green peppers and onions. We got home, eagerly opened the boxes and....disappointment again. I would like to know how these places slice the vegetables so thin they are transparent. We had to look hard for the ham because it too was so thin it blended in with the cheese - most likely lunch meat like the other post here indicated. Now we're no master chefs, but that's not how you make a good pizza. We choked most of it down, but it was not fully cooked and the cheap cheese and lack of flavor due to the almost non-existent toppings we ordered sat on our stomachs like a rock. Last time we order from there. So that leaves the Reservoir (yes they do maker pizza) and the Blue Stone, which is very good, but expensive. Read moreI have lived in Waterbury for seven years right near the restaurant. I've had my share of ups and downs with the place and I have been reinforced in my decision to stop going. In earlier years (5-7 years) ago, the food was decent. We would always have to order extra cheese to get the right amount on pizza but service and quality was pretty good. Sub 4 years ago, it seems to have really crumbled. Every time we order, something is wrong. The pizza is underdone, ingredients are missing, food is cold, or the phone service is rushed and unfriendly. I stopped going regularly and have placed maybe 1-2 orders each year since quality has stalled. Each time, I am reminded why I go into town to eat at the former Blue Stone, now Stone's Throw Pizza, even with this location being a less than 5 minute walk from my home. I'm completely understanding the "post pandemic" workforce has impacted many businesses, but this seems to be a consistent issue across multiple years at this point. Tonight's order was so close to being done, yet was missing the turkey on my meat salad ($3 price difference from the mozzarella salad).
