Marty's Restaurant — Restaurant in Waterford

I want to preface this with the service was friendly and awesome, and really nothing wrong with Marty's.

Atmosphere was nice just as you would hope from a hometown restaurant. But, it was stuffy and warm and humid inside. Not overbearing but not comfortable either.

I ordered the spinach and feta omelette with hash browns. (Comes with toast, but I declined) An omelette, when done right, is supposed to be fluffy and moist.

This thing was flat and dry. And when I say flat, I mean it looked like a car had run over it. The hashbrowns are supposed to be crispy and done. Mine were moist and had hardly any crisp to them.

That being said, both tasted good. Recipe is good, but execution, not so much. (Hence the score of 3, which is avg).

The price was good (12.00), and like I said, the service was awesome. I was a party of one, and and asked for a booth due to leg injury and they accommodated me, even though business was picking up and getting busy.

My waiter was awesome, nice, and smiled the whole time.

I will come back again, as this might have been just a one-off for the breakfast.

I did enjoy my visit.

They do have a breakfast bar as well on weekends, 15.00 for adults,...

As soon as we sit down, we wait for about 3min to get a waitress, asks what drink we be having, comes back & asks are we ready to order, I said I need more time, she comes back in less than a minute & says do I need more time, I'm annoyed now, I say I'm still looking, she comes back under another minute, I just turned the page & she comes back, I'm upset now & order the chicken philly sandwich, breads very hard & breaks apart & most everything falls out chicken was very dry, fries were ok, but the soup (chicken noodle) was real mushie & tasted like Ramon noodle. While eating, my waitress just kept complaining about the the old lady not ever working or doing her share. If u come here on a cold day as I did, ask the waitress to sit u in the back away from the entrance where the cold hits u & your food as u eat. The menu is mostly messican & not a very good selection. It's a dump in my opinion & will not...

Worst service ever!

We usually have a good experience when we go there, but this visit was so awful we left before our food came. Waitress was not pleasant right from the beginning. After 25 minutes we asked how much longer our food would be. "Their working on it" is what she said. No apology, no I'll check, nothing. She brought food out for the customers next to us that came in after us. Over her shoulder she told us "yours will be out soon". Ten minutes later when she served food to the table that came in 20 minutes after us we told her to cancel our order and get us the bill for the drinks. Now I expected her to say the drinks were no charge because of the wait, but no, she charged us. Never an explanation or apology. We think she just didn't put in our order and wouldn't admit to it. We will not be returning, and many of our friends and relatives who have heard about this will no longer eat...
