I came into Damon’s Sports Bar & Grill expecting a decent meal, but what I got was cold food that tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. When I raised questions and recommended fresh food, the server caught an attitude and refused to fix it.

The worst part was what I witnessed: adults giving alcohol to a minor, laughing and saying “he’s starting to become a man now” while the server stood there watching and laughing too. I had my kids with me, and I made sure to take them with me to the bathroom because I didn’t know what might happen if I turned my back — that’s how unsafe this place felt.

First off, shoutout to Roger with a D — absolute legend. Found out he wasn’t even supposed to be working tonight, and the place was busier than your average Thursday. Didn’t matter. The guy was holding it down like a pro.

The vibe at Damon’s is great. TVs everywhere, good energy, and solid staff. And let’s talk about the pizza — legit top-tier. Looked amazing, tasted even better. Could’ve been a commercial the way it landed in front of me.

This is a good sports bar. Its my local watering hole. I'm a lifelong Chicago sports fan, and they always have the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks games on. The food here is great! I recommend the Pastrami, the burger and the Pizzas. They have a respectable beer selection in the fridge, but have the good domestic stand-bys on draft. And a full bar with dozens of liquors to make any cocktail you could want. The service can be a touch slow, but they are a small business and these days staffing can be an issue.
