Mama Nick's Circle Pizzeria — Restaurant in Waterloo

No questions about it, this place earns the worst pizza in America award. We stopped here on a trip back from TN a few years ago. As a kid growing up in Iowa we used to drive by this place all the time on the way to my grandparents house. So finally as an adult I got the opportunity to try it. And I can honestly say I wish I hadn't. It was disgusting. We couldn't eat this pizza, if you could even call it pizza. The first thing we noticed is that the sauce was clearly Campbells tomato soup. Gross! Honestly, who uses tomato soup for pizza sauce? There was no doubt as to what the sauce was, I eat it all the time with grilled cheese sandwiches. And if that were not bad enough, the crust was tough like shoe leather and dried out. They clearly left the dough sitting out for hours as it was cracked with hard chunks and didn't even look nice. Had the texture of peeling paint on the side of an old barn. I've been cheated on toppings many time before but this place also wins the award for skimpiest toppings. Barely any cheese was used. And this was not a cheap pizza. I felt totally ripped off by them. I'm not sure I'd even recommend this place to my enemies as...

Don't waste your money. We literally just got our order. Pick 2 for $7.99. It was two small, thin chicken strips and no joke, a half of a potato cut into 8 bites. Pick 2 Potato Kegs & Cheese Bites. Cheese Bites were ok. Fair amount. We didn't get Potato Kegs at all, but rather the other half of a potato cut into about 8 bites. Kids meal $5.99- Same as the Pick 2, 2 small chicken strips but with fries AND a piece of bread. Fine. I guess Grandma should have just ordered a kids meal. More food and $2.00 less. George's Burger and fries- that was ok, but over priced at $13.00. $41.55 total for hardly any food! We've been going to or ordering Mama Nicks for YEARS. Daughter called to complain & they hung up on her the first time. She called back. I ate my chicken strips in the 5 minutes she was on the phone with them. They're giving her $10.00 credit. Won't be ordering from there again and I don't recommend anyone else wasting their hard earned...

We ordered and paid for a pizza and calzone online. When I got there, they handed me the pizza. When I said that there should be a calzone, the waitress got very defensive, I showed her the order on my phone. She said it would be another 20 minute wait. I didn't want to take home the pizza and come back, so I asked for a refund. I also asked for the tip back that they automatically add to the order. She said she couldn't do that. I said I wanted the tip back, you don't get a tip if you can't get the order right. She literally threw money at me, she didn't count want she was giving me or anything. No apology for the mistake or anything. This is the second time part of my online order has been missing. Defensive each time, just that the first time was a quick fix and I didn't ask for a refund. We won't be back....
