Ok, I hate writing bad reviews, but I want to warn people about their buffalo chicken calzones. It's pretty bad... I'm giving them a three star because I don't want to kill their rating and this is only my first time trying Gerry's. First off, this isn't a real calzone. The dough was folded awkwardly and had way too much dough in several spots (too the point where it was under cooked). The cheese inside wasn't fully melted and the chicken was diced into small pieces, so that when you cut it open it was a buffalo-ee soupy mess. Yet somehow, the bottom was burnt. Also, they didn't cut it for you, so I was left trying to cut through the tough burnt bottom with a plastic knife at work.... Overall, a bad experience. Hands down our go-to takeout place in the neighborhood for around 10 years. We even moved 20 minutes away and still come back for takeout, even though they've changed hands. Gerry's salads are NOT your "average pizza place salads." Our favorite is the Caprese salad with grilled chicken or steak tips, and this the best takeout salad I have EVER had. Not to mention very reasonably priced! The lettuce is legit, dark green romain lettuce. We also enjoy their calzones (especially the pomodoro) -- the ratio of filling to crust is hearty, you get a large portion. The pizza is akin to New York Style and is also good. We prefer the salad, calzones and pizza to the wraps, subs (although the steak and cheese is awesome) and pasta platters, but overall you can't go wrong with any...

I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. I started to eat the pizza and then when I went to get another slice I realized there was pepperoni. Now I can't eat pepperoni because im Jewish also I get really sick if I accidentally eat it. I called the place to let them know that they had crossed contaminated my pizza. He told me, "so and do I need anything else" and hung up. Now I wasn't rude or anything I just wanted to let him know they made a mistakes and he could really hurt someone if someone had a really bad allergy. The way he addressed the situation was really bad. I used to love this place but after this, they have lost a customer. I hope they read this so they don't make a mistake and...
