My husband and I live in Watertown and he usually gets bakery there but today (7/25/24) was my first time at this bakery. And, because this needs to make sense, I’ll have to describe the person who assisted me at the store. It was someone of Asian decent, elderly woman definitely 60 yrs or more. She was abrupt and not nice at all, as if, if she had a choice she wouldn’t serve me, no eye contact. I always call ahead to place my order, but this time I was told over the phone that the sandwiches were already made. I politely thanked her and mentioned that I didn’t realize they were prepared in advance. She curtly replied, “They are not premade, I got here at 6 AM to make them,” which came across as unnecessarily rude. All I meant was that I thought they were made to order. I can't do dunkins or starbucks anymore. Nothing is worse than walking into an empty store, and waiting 30 minutes for all the mobile orders and uber eats. Here there is none of that.
